Berdarrius , appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear how you think where to draw the line in terms of asking friends and family to support your business – what’s okay and what’s over the line?
Honestly, When i first started Love4Dinero I was looking for a lot of friends and family to support my brand. They would ask for discounts or free products instead of paying the cost. What I’ve came to realize is that and this might be one of my biggest lessons learned is that if a person like your product they will pay whatever, as long as it’s reasonable of course. Now i no longer care for the local area support, don’t get me wrong i do have some supporters in my city that cop whatever i drop NOT because they know me but because they love the brand ! And that’s what I’m going for. The goal is to get out of the city & state and make people love your brand & know your name! Not to stay in the same position with the same people i want this to be bigger than Albany but this never would’ve been able to start without Albany Ga and i will always remember and respect that.
Berdarrius , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Berdarrius but i go by Beezy, I am the sole Creator & Owner of Love4Dinero LLC. My love for fashion and growing up around the streetwear culture has provoked my creation of Love4Dinero. I grew up wearing all types of brands and styles therefore. Me starting a brand was a no brainer. Growing up i was introduced to different styles through my mother. She’s a very versatile dresser so i grew up wearing different styles like Ed Hardy, Polo Ralph Lauren, and True Religion and even the Commercial themed nascar jackets. A lot of my brand is inspired through these brands. I have recently changed my brand around to be more streetwear based so you will see a lot of more bulky shirts oversized tees. My designs are very exotic and my tees give you a luxury look without making you have to dress expensive. You can wear my clothing with sweats and slides or with your expensive gear it’s very versatile and that’s what sets us apart. Love4Dinero isn’t just a brand it’s a lifestyle we are selling more than a product it’s a experience ! We give you a backstory and theme with each drop we implement the customers in our drops because our customers make us the brand we are and we value that.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy to growing a audience for me have been word of mouth. Word of mouth for a small business is almost everything. Once you build your face and trustworthiness with your brand through word of mouth on hand transactions it will build more of a security for your online audience. When people see that people are buying and getting their products they will also shop with you. The biggest lesson I’ve learn is also just making sure your quality is perfect and your customer service is outstanding that will build a returning customer and also a relationship with your customers which will influence them to share their purchase with friends.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I think what built my reputation with my market is pop up shops and me solely only wearing my brand. People love to see the product being worn to get an idea of how to style it themselves. My biggest thing was finding people that can wear my product not only how i wear it but as good as me and that had been a big sale booster
