Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Benjamin Leggitte. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Benjamin, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
The process has been one amazing learning experience Having a small business comes with many challenges from having content all the time, to making sure your business is running very smoothly so lets go back to the beginning I started the Chef Benjamin Brand LLC in June of 2020 and I have learned a lot about my self and what’s it like to run your own business when I started I had absolutely no clue on running a business I always knew the culinary arts side (cooking) so I started educating myself on running a business by reading books on how to run a business and have to make revenue from selling products.Entrepreneuership comes with many challenges you are the brand/business and if nothing gets done it all falls down on you (so work extremely hard every day lol) when I was finally ready to launch my business successfully I started making sure I had clients, products and social media on my side to execute this idea and thankfully it all worked out.
Benjamin, before we move on to more of the.se sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Absolutely I’m Chef Benjamin chief executive officer/private chef for the Chef Benjamin Brand LLC. basically the services I offer are in home private dinner experiences this service is something that is way different than going to the restaurant its a private dinner experience where you get to interact with me and get the chance to see all the behind the scenes work that goes into making a 5 star meal from the prep work to the cooking process to the plating of the dish and what’s cooler than having a private chef serve a signature dish to you and describe all the ingredients that went into the dish (pretty cool right) and also I have my own culinary products I have my own sauce line (Chef Benjamin bang sauce) and my own cookbook that I released in 2022 (cooking with a bang) .
What really sets me apart from other chefs is that I give you more than a dinner I give you a experience that you’ll take about for years and a meal that will just leave your tastebuds screaming for more. I’m most proud of the fact that I took a chance and believed in myself that I could make this dream of mine come to life.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Definitely building a strong social media following is the key to building your business especially in todays time and age since we live in the technology era. I tell every one that wants to start a business to stay active all the time on social media and network until you get tired because these days potential clients want to see how your business is on social media from reviews, to seeing how you engage with your audience this can make a potential client a actual client so stay active on social media and build a strong reputation that’s the key.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
TikTok and instagram lol when you have a lot of content you have to stay consistent to keep your followers/clients engaged into what your doing and that makes them want your services and products even more.
