We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Bella Kash. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Bella below.
Hi Bella , thanks for joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
I recently worked with a GOODNESS BALLET SCHOOL IN NIGERIA AFRICA. Resources are few in this area however their wonderful director has an unstoppable passion to help his community through art and education. We connected and created some beautiful and meaningful art with his students. It’s so special to me because much like those kids I was underprivileged and all it took was for one person to see in me what I didn’t see in myself to SPARK THE PASSION. I now mentor a young talented dancer from this school who I’ve worked with and it’s like a repeating a beautiful cycle. We are making such amazing connection between our students our cultures and within the dance community.

Bella , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
From youth I was always talented in the arts. At 5 years old my adopted family discovered I can sing and dance. Immediately putting me on stages in competitions. However growing up inside the home wasn’t the greatest for me in particular. It made me slowly back away from everything and just focus on surviving. After being diagnosed with mental health illness. I decided to use my trauma as motivation to push positive energy into the world. I myself, had to hit the ground running. Got noticed by big brands and became a vial sensation with my fun flexible photos being featured all over the world. Then prompting me to start classes for FITNESS / DANCE / MOVEMENT for all ages and sizes. I think when posted my 72 year old student with her legs behind her head the world knew I was the real deal.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Growing up my childhood was interesting to say the least. I was always singled out. My talent didn’t make it any better. I was literally being BULLIED IN MY OWN HOME. Which made school even harder. I fell into a very deep depression and isolated myself. Which made me fall off of my skill set for a while. After becoming a teen mom and being raised around a long line of toxic passed down lifestyles. I had a decisions to make. I could do what I know as normal and contribute to the cycle or write my own path away from the sad childhood narrative. I did just that. Most ppl cant believe how I was raised vs my outlook on life as an adult. All I knew was hate and abuse however all I was to bring to others is peace and happiness. It’s the whole drive behind why I do what I do. Healing through movement saved my life.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Everyone is is obsessed with going VIRAL. Here’s the real spill. The niche thing is cool and works at times but social media is ever changing with trends and algorithm methods. Best advice is to be yourself. There are so many overly prepped influencers. Be unique or average . Don’t be afraid to post !!!!!!! Be outspoken or soft spoken. Be overly passionate or carefree. The key is to be yourself, don’t follow the trends because after it gets traction you will need follow up content to keep them engaged. You will get tired of faking it fast. I made my own lane and people eventually caught on. It was because I chose to be myself.
