We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Bell Tower Ritual a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Bell Tower, appreciate you joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?

I’ve alway been interested in music even at an early age. My dad and mom always had a variety of music playing from death metal to disco, reggae to classic rock. So I was exposed at an early age. My uncle use to play drums as well and sometimes I could hear him practicing and would listen to him play.

It was around 7th grade my friend had gotten an electric guitar. And we were both metalheads at the time. After hearing him play with a distortion pedal I wanted to play guitar as well.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Bell Tower Ritual is an experience. When you come to a show you’re going to be on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I want the listener to experience happiness and to dance, mosh or whatever makes you move. There is also parts that will make the listener uneasy and uncomfortable. As if they are in a horror movie.and a chainsaw welding madman is after the listener. We mix in shamanic drums with some tribalistic drum beats as well as trip hop drums with droning guitars and bass. There is also a mix of Godflesh esque industrial drums and guitar with a sludgy screaming primitive vocals.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

The mission is for the listeners to leave the experience with a more spiritual and enlightened mindset. To find ones self

How did you build your audience on social media?

For me Social Media is a tool to help reach a wider range of audience say someone who is in Europe. But we forget how everything was done before social media and I’d rather give the listener a product that is worth listening to over and over then to half ass it buy followers buy ads to make it seem like I’m something I’m not. Just be yourself
