We recently connected with Beily Santos and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Beily thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Are you able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen?
It wasn’t a full-time gig right away. At first, I was just creating content here and there, balancing other work to pay the bills. But once I started figuring out what people connected with—whether it was fun, relatable posts or behind-the-scenes videos—I started seeing more traction. A big turning point was leaning into trends, like using popular sounds on TikTok or creating content that felt more authentic rather than overly polished.
It took time to build up a consistent audience, and honestly, if I knew then what I know now, I would’ve started engaging more with my community sooner. Responding to comments, getting feedback, and collaborating with other creators could’ve probably sped things up. It’s definitely been a learning curve, but once I found my voice and stayed consistent, things really started taking off. Now, I’m able to do this full-time, and it feels amazing to have turned a passion into a career!
Beily, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
So for those who don’t know me, I’m a content creator with a focus on Disney content, but I also work with other brands to help bring their vision to life. I’ve always had a passion for storytelling, and Disney has been such a big part of that for me. I love capturing those magical moments, sharing my outfit details, and where to get the best drinks and snacks.
As a content creator, I help brands connect with their audience in a way that feels authentic and engaging. What sets me apart is my ability to create relatable, engaging content that doesn’t feel too salesy or forced. I’m proud of being able to work on my own brand while helping other brands grow through creative storytelling. The main thing I want people to know about me is that I’m all about creating real moments and helping brands connect with their followers in a way that feels genuine and fun!
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
One thing I think non-creatives don’t always get is just how much time and effort goes into creating content, even for something as short as a 15-second video. It’s not just about filming—it’s hours of editing, perfecting the transitions, finding the right sound, and making sure it aligns with the brand or message. And when you’re posting multiple times a day to stay relevant and grow, it’s a constant cycle of creating, editing, and brainstorming new ideas.
Another thing that’s tough is the lack of engagement from people you actually know. A lot of times, friends or people around you don’t support your content, and it often comes from a place of jealousy or just not understanding the grind. It can be frustrating, but you learn to push through and focus on the bigger picture.
At the end of the day, the creative journey is all about consistency and pushing through, even when it feels like you’re not getting the support you’d expect. But the results are worth it, and there’s nothing like seeing your hard work pay off!
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My biggest goal is to give my family the financial freedom they deserve. They’ve sacrificed so much for me and my brother, and all I’ve ever wanted is to give back to them in a way that really makes a difference. This journey is about more than just brand deals or social media fame—it’s about being able to help my family and ensure they have everything they need and more.
Beyond that, I want to make an impact in my community. There are so many people who could use a hand, especially in a world where everyone’s just trying to make it. If I can use my platform to give back and support those in need, that’s a huge part of what drives me. This creative journey is about building something meaningful that reaches far beyond me.
