We recently connected with Beijie, Alicia, Corinne, Jessica Kometa, Franklin, Nekingam, Tago and have shared our conversation below.
Beijie, Alicia, Corinne, Jessica, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
One of the many things that my mother has done right is to be able to give me a voice. Growing up, I never felt like I had a voice to express myself. Now, having a voice allows me to speak up for others the same way most people did for me growing up. Within my career field, most managers try to silence a lot of their workers to feel dominant, but being able to help others speak for themselves feels great.

Beijie, Alicia, Corinne, Jessica, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
We are Get In The Field! We are a small business and group that curates field day games such as tug-of-war, sack races, flag football, etc, for the community to be able to have fun while also making new friends. Get In The Field is a small group of young women who are friends that are just navigating an everyday life and looking for new ways to open up to the community! Some thing that led us to create this organization was wanting to see more young adults tap into their inner child on games that kept us excited in school on field day and make something positive of this. This gives us the free range to see how happy others can be just feeling like a little kid again.
How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
I think society should be more accepting of different forms of creativity, even if it is not their style or taste.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Being able to see my creativity come to life and enjoy others’ happiness
