Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Becka Payne. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Becka, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
It all started when I decided to leave my full-time reliable career to embark on a thrilling journey of starting my own business – an in-home daycare. It was a big leap of faith, but I was passionate about creating a nurturing environment for little ones and having the freedom to work for myself.
Running the daycare taught me valuable lessons about branching out and exploring new opportunities. One of those paths led me into the world of pediatric sleep consulting, where I discovered my knack for helping parents and their little ones get the rest they need. It’s incredible to see the positive impact I make on families’ lives.
But as time went on, I realized that my true calling was evolving. The daycare had served its purpose, and it was time for a change. I decided to close the daycare and redirect my focus. This decision freed up my time to venture into a new endeavor, The Mom Walk Collective, while still also supporting moms as a Pediatric Sleep Specialist. Now, I have the privilege of supporting and empowering moms in more ways than one. It’s been an incredible journey of growth, and I’m so grateful for the risks I took because they led me to this fulfilling path. Taking that initial leap to pursue my dreams has been the best decision I ever made.
Becka, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the Ambassador/Host for The Mom Walk Collective, representing Fort Collins + Northern Colorado. My journey into this role has been quite the adventure! It all started with my passion for creating a supportive community for moms, where we can come together, share experiences, and uplift each other. One of the things that set us apart is our genuine dedication to fostering a safe and inclusive space where moms can connect, grow, and thrive.
I’m incredibly proud of the positive impact we’ve had on the lives of moms in our community. Seeing them come together, share their stories, and support each other is truly heartwarming. The sense of camaraderie and empowerment that The Mom Walk Collective brings is beyond rewarding. For potential clients, followers, and fans, I want you to know that The Mom Walk Collective is more than just an organization – it’s a movement. We’re here to celebrate the joys and triumphs of motherhood, but also to lend a helping hand during the challenges. We’re a community that embraces vulnerability, compassion, and growth, and I’m so excited for you to be a part of it!
If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
Absolutely! If I could turn back time, I would make the same decision without a doubt. Being a mom and a mom supporter is my true calling, and I genuinely believe it’s what I was meant to do. There’s an indescribable joy and fulfillment in helping other moms navigate their journey and providing them with the support they need.
Becoming a part of The Mom Walk Collective and creating a nurturing community for moms has been a rewarding experience. I cherish every moment spent empowering and connecting with other mothers. It’s a passion that runs deep in my soul. I’m grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of moms and to be a source of support and inspiration. Motherhood is a beautiful journey, and being a mom supporter makes it even more meaningful and enriching.
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
Aside from training and knowledge, I firmly believe that having a strong support system of my own has been the most crucial factor in succeeding. Motherhood and being a mom supporter can be incredibly rewarding, but it also comes with a fair share of challenges. Having a network of people who understand and uplift me has made all the difference.
My support system, whether it’s friends, family, or like-minded colleagues, has been there to lend a helping hand, offer valuable insights, and provide emotional encouragement. This support has given me the strength to navigate difficult moments and persevere through any obstacles that come my way. Knowing that I have a group of people who genuinely care about my well-being and my success keeps me motivated and inspired to continue making a positive impact in the lives of moms. Without them, it would be much more challenging to thrive in this field, and I’m truly grateful for their unwavering presence.
