We recently connected with Becci Ravera and have shared our conversation below.
Becci, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
“What risks would you take if time and money weren’t an issue?” That was the question I asked my husband late one summer night. He paused for just a bit before he said something that changed our whole world, and what unfolded over the next few months became one of the most defining adventures of our lives.
As a small business owner, I am no stranger to taking risks. Creative entrepreneurship is basically just a series of small risks every day, but this was a whole new level of risk-taking.
Fast forward a few months, and there we were, putting a “For Sale” sign on our house, and packing up our lives (and our 2 young kids) into a 32 foot fifth wheel and set off on a wild 3-year adventure across the USA. And let me tell you, it was anything but ordinary. 27 states
From the rugged cliffs of the Pacific Coast to the Blue Ridge mountains, we chased sunsets and soaked in the beauty of every mile we traveled. But it wasn’t just about the Instagram-worthy views or the thrill of the open road. It was about embracing the unknown, stepping outside our comfort zones, and diving headfirst into uncertainty.
Sure, there were moments when we questioned our sanity – Like when COVID closed down the world, just a few months into our trip. But we learned to embrace the highs and lows, the triumphs and challenges, and coming out on the other side with a story worth telling. Isn’t that what adventure is all about?
The thing about taking risks is that they have a funny way of paying off in ways you never imagined. We discovered a newfound sense of resilience, adaptability, and, above all, gratitude for the simple joys of life. Perhaps the most profound lesson we learned along the way was that every twist and turn in the road, every unexpected detour, served as a reminder. That life is meant to be lived boldly, with a sense of wonder and curiosity.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m a Cali girl with Southern roots, currently falling in love the with PNW. I have been a family and newborn photographer since 2013. After a decade of running a successful photography business, even while traveling full-time, I realized, almost by accident, that my real love is helping other business owners navigate through the usual hang-ups that come with running a business. Now I use the skills and experience I have learned to help support creative business owners to find organization and balance with the “Business side” of their business. I like to think of myself as your small business bestie.
From business coaching, custom branding + web design to business organization + marketing, I am here every step of the way. Helping others reach their dreams is my love language (well, that and chips),. I want to help every creative business owner I can to find their worth, their confidence, and succeed. S, I created this business to provide other small business creative all the help they need with the “business-side” of their business so they can be success, sustainable, and thrive.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
As a firm believer in “Community over Competition” My entire mission is to be able to use my knowledge to help other creative business owners to find their confidence.
I believe that there is enough room for all of us to thrive, and that you owe it to yourself, and the world, to share your creativity!
I love showing creative entrepreneurs what is possible when they have the right tools and support, and a personal cheerleader.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I think at the heart of all creatives is resilience. The resilience of putting yourself out there, the resilience of getting knocked down but continuing to bounce back from setbacks, staying committed to goals, and navigating uncertainty with confidence.
To all the dreamers and creative souls out there, keep pushing forward. Believe in yourself, trust the process, and don’t be afraid of stepping out of your comfort zone.
Success isn’t just about reaching the end goal; it’s about embracing the journey… What if it all turns out even better thank you imagined??
