Becca, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later

First and foremost I have to say that I always believe whatever path you take in life, there was a purpose for that and that’s where God wanted you to be. But I do have to admit that sometimes I wish I would have started my business sooner than I did! And here’s why…

First you need to know my business back story. I started my business as a general virtual assistant in the very beginning of 2021. I wanted to start a business that could help me eventually leave the classroom and stay home with my kids so I could homeschool. (I was a public school middle school music teacher at the time.) In 2022 I was able to replace my teaching income and was able to leave my job and go full time in business, eventually niching into social media management. I added coaching and strategy a few months after that.

So I would have started my business sooner only so I wouldn’t have had to be in the business growing phase while also juggling a toddler and a newborn. If I would have had an established business before they were born, things may have been a little less stressful. (Haha, maybe?) I was landing clients and overbooking my business two weeks after I had my second baby, so while it was a blessing because business was booming, that should have been a time I was bonding with my baby instead.

No regrets, but just things I ponder from time to time! Either way, I’m still so grateful I was able to grow my business while also being home with my kids.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My name is Becca and I own and operate Rebecca Elizabeth, LLC, located in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and serve clients all over the U.S with social media marketing services- done-for-you social media management or done-with-you strategy and coaching offers.

We simplify social media for small businesses and busy entrepreneurs. We help you market with intention, scale your business and grow in confidence. Getting your business more visible and in front of your ideal audience and thus bringing in more sales is our specialty!

It’s always been our goal to help clients expand their impact and revenue by increasing visibility on social media so they can reach more people who need the resources, courses, and/or services they offer.

How did you build your audience on social media?

My Instagram is my main from of marketing and has brought in almost all of my current clients, even at sitting at only about 1100 followers. My strategy has always been authentic and relatable marketing, as well as lots of education, to showcase my expertise and knowledge. Most of my clients are busy mom entrepreneurs, so being a business owner and homeschool mom requires really good time management and when I share behind the scenes with my kids alongside my business, that always sparks a lot of interest.

My biggest advice for social media marketing is to focus on one platform in the beginning. Find the platform that you like the best, and where your ideal audience (clients) are hanging out on and get really good on there. Speak their language, create content they want to see and showcase the transformations that take place with your clients.

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.

(I shared most of this story on one of the first questions)

Long story short, yes this is now my full time business. In 2021 I was a part time VA while full time middle school music teacher. In May of 2022 I resigned from teaching, had my second baby and went full time into social media management. In 2023 I added on coaching. Now in 2024 I have a thriving and successful social media marketing business while also homeschooling my oldest daughter.
