We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Becca Hatlestad. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Becca below.
Becca, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
I grew up with a mom who stayed home with us kids most of my growing up years, and a dad who worked hard as a computer programmer. Seeing my dad in his career doing something he loved always motivated me to continue working towards my passions in life. He always told me work was fun for him because he loved what he did…. And I too wanted that! I know this led me down the path of pursuing a career in nursing because I had a passion for helping others, and I had a knack for the science world. My mom, while she stayed at home, was an amazing support, and I truly do not believe I would be here on this path if it wasn’t for her.
I grew up at a time that holistic health and wellness was around, but it definitely wasn’t popular or the mainstream thing. Regular healthy eating and preparing home cooked meals together was a staple in our home. I grew up getting regular chiropractic adjustments, and incorporating supplements and homeopathic remedies into our daily regimen as indicated. My mom was always the one digging deeper and searching for the best options. To me this was just “normal” because it is what I grew up with. However, now as I reflect back on these years, I realize this is not the case for many people, giving me a deep appreciation for her cultivating these habits in such formative years.

Becca, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I worked as a nurse in the hospital world from 2011 – 2019, but the transition to holistic health really strengthened early on in my career when I developed severe hand eczema. The Lord knew I had a different path, I just had to figure out what and how to get there.
I opened RenuHealth in 2018, with the simple vision to help others find hope and success in their healing. I started by offering NAET allergy elimination, and today it has transformed into biofeedback (bioenergetic) therapy and regenerative health detox. I want to pursue the best techniques for myself and my clients, so I continue to educate myself and make shifts when I learn better.
After discovering a device that took the benefits of NAET but streamlined testing, I added bioenergetic scanning a couple of years into my practice. It allowed me to help my clients faster, more efficiently, and for less investment because significantly fewer treatments are needed. From there, I partnered with a company to help bring organic and regeneratively grown superfoods to people, which I loved because nutrition is a massive part of our health. Through this partnership, I connected with Carrie Drinkwine (a pioneer in the wellness field). She opened the Institute of Regenerative Health in 2021 to get more regenerative health practitioners out. She spreads her wealth of knowledge to others so they can better assist clients in finding relief from their health struggles. I was in her first class in 2022, graduating as a Regenerative Health Practitioner and trained iridologist. Regenerative health means getting the body back into the proper state to repair how we are designed, which is what we do at a cellular level! We accomplish this through herbalism, nutrition, and supplemental support. This education has allowed me to go even deeper in my protocols and help my clients at the deepest root cause level. And for those who desire, I can lead them through a regenerative systemic detox.
But what I love most about my practice is that because I can scan someone using my bioenergetic device, I tailor their protocol to the specific needs of their body! I believe this is why my business has remained so successful over the years, and is truly what sets me apart and allows me to get such good results for clients. We are all different, and even if two people have the same symptoms, the needs of their bodies will be different.
In addition, all my clients are on a balancing imprint remedy, similar to homeopathy for those who are familiar with that modality. The remedy is based on their body’s needs from the bioenergetic scan, which is unique to them. This remedy balances their body and greatly minimizes detox symptoms. I also emphasize helping my clients with the emotional aspects of their health and wellness, as I have found this is critical in allowing the body to heal. It is truly the biggest honor to share this special journey with my clients!

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I have always run my business with the goal of helping clients achieve success in their healing journey as efficiently as possible because time and money are valuable resources. The faster I help clients, space opens up to help even more. While I take clients on deeper detox as needed, I always work them back into lifestyle changes that feel good based on their individual needs and goals. Health isn’t a one size fits all approach, and working to meet people where they are at is key to creating lasting changes and continued health moving forward. Clients tell me this approach is what draws them to work with me, and once they find relief they send others my way. My business runs solely on referrals, and for this I am beyond blessed. I truly believe that if you stay true to living out the mission and vision of your business, while also coming from a genuine place, your business will continue to flourish.

If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
I get asked this quite a bit actually. People always wonder if I miss bedside nursing or if I regret spending the time in nursing school. The answer is no, not at all. No experience or training to this point has been wasted. Every piece of education and training pour into my business, and allow me to approach client issues holistically, but with a traditional medical understanding. My upbringing and own health challenges are what lead me down the holistic path over time, and I feel I am continuing to follow the path the Lord has laid out for me as I continue to grow and expand my offerings at RenuHealth.
I currently have something in the works which involves collaboration with other practitioners to elevate their practice and client offerings. The vision for this comes from my goal of making the biggest impact possible, and I am excited to be launching this in early 2025! Collectively every experience on my path led me to this point.
It is beyond rewarding to help clients work through a health challenge… and it is 100% why I love what I do! It is truly the biggest honor to share this special journey with my clients, and now I get to increase this ripple effect with other practitioners!
