We recently connected with Becca Benevento and have shared our conversation below.
Becca, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
It began in a moment of complete upheaval.
I had just left a secure, long-term job to join a nonprofit that felt more aligned with my values and purpose. But just one month into the new role, the organization reorganized, and my position was eliminated without warning. No transparency, no support – just gone.
For a week, I sat in pure rage. I was furious – at the system, at the circumstances, and at the sudden void that had opened beneath me. But as the emotions settled, something softer emerged: surrender. I realized this was happening for me, not to me. I intuitively recognized that this pause had been divinely timed. I opened myself up to receive whatever was meant for me. Just a few days later, vibrational healing found me.
I attended a 3-day workshop led by the man who would become my mentor. Every word he spoke, every frequency he described, every inner experience mirrored my own. For the first time, I felt deeply understood. The things I’d sensed and carried for years finally made sense. My soul urged me to take the full course, and after only the first lesson, I knew: I wasn’t just learning a new skill; I was remembering who I was. I felt myself waking up, coming online, and reclaiming parts of myself I hadn’t known how to reach. I was aligning with my true path. It felt like my soul had been waiting for me to arrive.
That moment of loss became the catalyst for my becoming.
Since then, I’ve become a Reiki practitioner, an ordained minister, and a guide in crystal healing, intuitive coaching, and soul embodiment work. What began as a painful ending turned into a sacred invitation: to step fully into my purpose and support others in reclaiming their soulful sovereignty, too.
Lesson: Sometimes, the most painful detours are actually sacred redirections. Rage cracked me open, but surrender let the light in.

Becca, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi, I’m Becca: the Founder of The Soul Essence Institute.
I created this space as a sacred sanctuary for deep healing, soulful sovereignty, and energetic reclamation. My work is rooted in the belief that every person is powerful beyond measure, and that true healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken. It’s about returning to who we’ve always been underneath the noise, programming, and pain.
My path into vibrational healing wasn’t linear. It was intuitive, raw, and profoundly transformative. After leaving a long-term job for a nonprofit that seemed to align more closely with my personal values, my position was suddenly eliminated just one month in. I was devastated and furious. But once the grief and anger subsided, I felt myself soften into surrender. I knew this opening was happening for me, not to me.
Just days later, I was introduced to vibrational healing through a workshop that described everything I’d ever felt but couldn’t explain. I finally felt seen. It was like coming home to myself. That experience led me to immerse myself fully in this path, becoming a certified vibrational healing practitioner, Reiki practitioner, ordained minister, and intuitive guide in soul embodiment, energy work, crystal healing, and spiritual coaching.
At The Soul Essence Institute, I offer private 1:1 sessions and multi-session journeys designed to help clients shed what no longer serves them, reawaken their inner truth, and reclaim their soulful sovereignty, so they can embody the fullness of who they came here to be. Whether through vibrational healing or other energy work, intuitive coaching, and oracle card readings, my approach is holistic, heart-led, and grounded in energetic integrity.
What sets my work apart is how deeply it honors the whole person. I hold space that’s both spiritually expansive and energetically safe. Clients often tell me they feel seen in ways they never have before, and that our sessions help them return to their truth, their clarity, and their power.
I’m most proud of creating a practice where healing feels sacred, where spirituality isn’t performative, and where people can come home to themselves with compassion and courage. This is soul work. And it’s deeply personal.
If you’re on a journey of awakening, unraveling, or reclaiming your power, you don’t have to walk it alone. My work is here to meet you where you are, and walk beside you as you remember the truth of who you are.
Welcome home to yourSelf.

Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
In my experience, the most essential qualities for succeeding in this field (beyond certifications or formal training ) are deep self-awareness, integrity, and the willingness to walk your own path of healing first. This work isn’t just something you do – it’s something you embody. Clients can feel when you’re grounded in your own truth, when you’ve done the inner work, and when you’re holding space from a place of authenticity rather than performance.
Also, genuine compassion, energetic discernment, and an ongoing relationship with your own intuition are key. You have to be willing to listen, not just to the client’s words, but to their energy, to the spaces in between, and to your own inner guidance. Our field isn’t just about offering healing techniques; it’s about creating a safe, sacred container where people feel seen, empowered, and lovingly supported as they reclaim their wholeness.
Lastly, devotion to your own evolution and a spirit of humility will carry you far. We’re not here to “fix” anyone – as my mentor likes to say, we’re all like the Statue of David. We’re not broken; we’re masterpieces already. Vibrational healing simply helps chip away at everything we’ve picked up in this lifetime, past lives, and parallel timelines, revealing the soulful sovereignty that was always there.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
What’s helped me build my reputation is staying rooted in authenticity, presence, and integrity. I’ve never been interested in flashy marketing, sleazy sales strategies, or quick fixes. My focus has always been on creating a safe, sacred space for people to be fully seen, supported, and sovereign in their healing.
Clients often share that they feel a deep sense of trust and resonance when we connect. I believe that’s because I’m not trying to be anything other than who I am. I walk this path alongside the people I support. I’ve lived through my own initiations, and I don’t ask anyone to go anywhere I haven’t gone myself.
Consistency has also been key. Not just in showing up, but in honoring my clients’ experiences, holding space with reverence, and letting the quality of the work speak for itself. I’ve built my reputation through word-of-mouth and meaningful relationships, one soul at a time.
More than anything, I believe people are drawn to the sincerity of my mission: to help others reclaim their soulful sovereignty and remember who they truly are.
