We recently connected with Beau Lewis and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Beau thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
Learning my craft in photography has been many years in the making. I first started by taking photos from my phone, found myself really enjoying this newfound hobby. Fast forward to five years later and now I have a hard time leaving my camera at home anytime I leave. there has been a lot of learning along the way. From taking photography classes, going to workshops and countless hours of just getting out there to shoot.
Beau, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hey guys, my name is Beau Lewis I am a landscape photographer from Salida, Colorado. I have been a photographer for five years. The reason I got into photography is that I enjoy exploring Colorado and all its beauty that is has to offer. with that being said I offer prints of my photography on my website highmountainphoto.etsy.com. the prints I offer vary from material and sizes.
Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
The biggest goal I have with my photography career is to be able to build up my clientele big enough that I can shoot full time in the near future.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
I think the most rewarding part about being a Photographer is the freedom I have to create whatever comes to mind at that very moment I’m shooting.
