BeaJai , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
I’ve learned a lot about photography from books, YouTube University, and practicing. I actually appreciate the time of me gaining all the knowledge over the years, because that’s what makes it so special and authentic to me, I wouldn’t speed the learning process up, I love the journey overall. I have so much more to accomplish and for me that’s the best part about knowing your purpose. The skills I think was most essential to me is learning your equipment and developing your own shooting style. First, you master your camera and experiment don’t be afraid to take control and be artistic. The obstacles that stood in my way was really myself, being my own worst critic and that alone can stunt your growth.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
“Allow me introduce my self” Words from Jay z lol But I’m Bea Jai Ramsey a Freelance Photographer/Content Creator from Detroit, MI born and raised. How I got started with photography was from Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts (their name has changed since I graduated) in 2009 I had teacher there that was a Free lance photographer for the Detroit Lions at the time and I was really intrigued, on how he was able to sit on the field and capture some amazing shots of the players. The moment my professor showed his work, I sat in class in complete awe of his photos and made a decision that photography was made for me even without a camera of my own. Beajjai Photography was created with a big vision and even bigger dream that is becoming a reality, it’s so surreal and just amazing. The Services we provide are: High fashion photography, product photography which is my favorite and overall content creating. The problems I solved for my clients was just comfort and giving them a experience where they don’t need to be nervous and I showed them that no matter what they’re the stars, and that also set me apart from others. Making my clients feel glamorous every time they stepped in front of my camera. What I’m most proud of is my growth, looking at my old work humbles me and shows me how far I came and that there’s more work to be done. Plus I really enjoy what I do. I just want everyone to know that all things are possible, even as cliché as that may sound.
Get used to seeing more of me and Beajjai Photography everywhere, I’m super excited about all my accomplishments and this is just the beginning.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
What’s driving me is my passion and that’s my honest answer. When you find your niche everything falls in line, how you view the world and how you want others to consume yours, when it comes to your form of artistry. I hear a lot people say the industry is over saturated but its not because no one can do what you do and no one can stop what’s already written. Continue to be creative, push boundaries and experiment.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding is seeing everyone react and appreciate the work you created. Because as a creative we’re very sensitive about our art and a lot of time an effort goes into what we do. An seeing others enjoy what we make is so heart warming.
