We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Bea Rutledge a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Bea, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
BeaHired was designed not just to match people with jobs but to coach and offer tools explicitly intended for the applicant’s success.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am Bea Rutledge, a Life Coach and Résumé Writer with 20+ years of experience in the Human Resources Industry and founder of BeaHired. I have been responsible for placing well over 10,000 people in new jobs throughout my career.
Allow me to break down similar businesses and the concept behind BeaHired…
Many organizations buy into large career sites such as Indeed, Monster, and CareerBuilder to post jobs and search résumés. They are looking for the perfect talent, often called the “Purple Squirrel.” The issue with this is the job seeker looking for work doesn’t realize their résumé and skills are in a purchasing market, which surprisingly can limit your résumé exposure. Additionally, they do not realize
there’s an “underground” market of jobs available with freelance recruiters, smaller businesses, and start-up businesses. Jobseekers often second guess the legitimacy of career opportunities not found on popular job boards and are reluctant to apply. That’s where BeaHired comes in. Featured is the best of both worlds. It’s a collective vision for how a job board should function to engage candidates successfully and offers transparent and low-cost for everyone to use. The best part is BeaHired’s website scraped jobs from more significant sites in addition to the jobs exclusively posted on BeaHired.com, ultimately making it a one-stop shop for searching for jobs.
Have you ever had to pivot?
Aside from the challenges that come with a forever-evolving industry, career development and, in many cases, employment as a whole hasn’t been a priority during the Covid-19 Pandemic. I’ve learned to be innovative to remain relative as things continue to change. I want the world to know that BeaHired if you feel stuck or need support in your career or business, especially in today’s world of the unknown BeaHired, is just a click away.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I introduced BeaHired to the world in 2017. So much has changed since, including the logo and colors.
I remember being nervous because BeaHired was my baby, and I wasn’t sure if you, “my internet cousins,” would embrace it, share it, and love it the same. But shockingly, my mobile app had over 1200 downloads within the first week.
I thought I could only go up from there. But the truth is I’ve been high and low. My app developers faced some issues that went public. I battled with being embarrassed for being affiliated with their business and if a public announcement to my internet cousins was necessary. I chose to stay quiet and pushed forward, encouraging everyone to pivot to my website. My internet cousins followed my lead, and business continued to flow.
I blinked, and with over 5000 resumes in my database, moving to a more professional and user-friendly platform has become inevitable. On October 4, 2022, the new and improved BeaHired website launched.
