We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Bdubb Brotalk Podcast. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Bdubb Brotalk below.
Bdubb Brotalk , appreciate you joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
We are a group of friends that came together during high school. We have remained friends for 20 plus years. One friend in the group started a podcast. His show was up and running and had several episodes. He approached the now host of Bdubb Brotalk with a proposition to be a guest on his podcast. Big E appeared as a guest and loved it. After that they then decided to do a podcast with the bros of 20 plus years. After coming up with the name and doing a few pilot episodes we were hooked and decided that this is what we wanted to do and the rest is history.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Big E and I am the manager/host of Bdubb BroTalk Podcast. Along with my many brothers that are involved and sit on the panel as well. Bdubb is actually an acronym for Brothers Dedicated &United Beyond Blood. It’s a podcast of brothers who are not blood but are a family. We got the idea of doing a podcast from one of our good friends who also had a podcast. He got us started with the show by producing it. We started out as brothers being vulnerable and showing men that it’s ok to talk and let it out. We also wanted to show men that we need and deserve to be able to express ourselves without the worry of being judged or criticized. This got a lot of attention and attracted people to want to come to the studio and have Brotalk with us. Bringing guests to the show brought a whole new perspective and audience. Sadly our friend who was producing the show bailed out as this change was coming about. This made me become the producer of the show with no experience. Though I am happy to say that didn’t stop us and may have been the best thing to happen. Under our own guidance and will to go on we were able to network and make it to where we are today. We were discovered by a talent administrator by the name of Ms. Bern with Uniquely Coordinated. From there we were booked for all types of media events, hosting, live interviews with known celebrities and artists. We were able to start doing media services for clients as well as flyers, promotions, and advertising. Big E has done movies, film festivals and more. We are available on any platform you can watch or listen to podcasts.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
There are so many things available now for anyone to start a podcast. Back when we started you really had to be innovative. You really had to do your research and find distributors, editing tools promoters etc. Now everything is right at your fingertips. There are so many apps that makes podcasting much easier. Even phones are being made for content creators. I wish I would’ve known more about marketing and sponsorship in the beginning.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
There came a point in our journey where we lost a good friend and producer. After 16 episodes we had to start from scratch. We had to buy all of the equipment we needed, learn how to use it and navigate through the podcast world. There was a 3 month hiatus we had to take to figure everything out but we didn’t let that stop us from coming back bigger and better. Thus came the change in direction for the show. Interviews with music artists and having Brotalk. REAL BROS REAL TALK!
