We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Barry Raccio a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Barry thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s the best advice you ever gave to a client? How did they benefit / what was the result? (Please note this response is for education/entertainment purposes only and shouldn’t be construed as advice for the reader)
One of the most powerful moments with a client happened during a sound bath I was leading. They arrived feeling completely overwhelmed—like they were drowning in stress from work and life. I could see it in their posture, their energy. So, as we began, I shared something with them: “Imagine each breath is like a wave, washing over you and clearing space for peace. Every inhale lifts you, every exhale grounds you.”
I suggested that after the session, they try taking just five deep breaths every morning to start their day on a calm note. A few weeks later, they returned with this glow, telling me how those breaths had become their lifeline, helping them feel more centered and less reactive to stress. It was one of those moments that reminded me how even the smallest shift can have a big impact. Simple actions, like breathing, can be the key to reconnecting with ourselves.

Barry, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’ve been immersed in the world of wellness for over 20 years, starting with my journey as a Kundalini yoga teacher in 1998. Before that, I had some success in TV commercials and music, but I eventually found my true calling in creative and healing practices. I’ve always been passionate about helping people reconnect with themselves and manage stress, which led me to create Century Wellness Studio in Century City.
At the studio, I offer a variety of services, including immersive sound baths, Kundalini yoga, and curated corporate wellness programs. I also work with high-end clients and brands like Chanel, United Talent Agency, Häsents, BMW, and Remedy Place. My work is focused on stress relief and empowering people to find balance in their lives through sound healing and mindfulness. I like to describe what I do as ‘Auditory Alchemy’—using sound to create deep relaxation and lasting transformation.
What sets me apart is the real connection I’ve built with my community and clients. I make sure each experience is personal and tailored to what people need, which shows in the positive feedback and 5-star reviews I get. I’m really proud of the difference my work makes—seeing clients leave a session feeling grounded, calm, and more connected to themselves is the best feeling in the world.
Century Wellness Studio is more than just a place; it’s where transformation happens. Whether you join us for a sound bath or a corporate wellness event, you’re not just getting a service—you’re entering a sanctuary for healing and personal growth. Here, you can reconnect with yourself and explore new ways to enhance your well-being.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I’ve built my reputation by focusing on real connections with people and delivering consistent results. Every session I offer, whether it’s a sound bath, yoga class, or corporate wellness event, is personalized to meet the needs of the individual or group. I always aim to help people feel less stressed and more at peace, which is what keeps them coming back.
Trust has been key. Over the years, clients have come to know that my services offer more than just relaxation—they lead to real changes in how they feel. Working with well-known clients like Chanel and BMW has helped me gain attention, but it’s the genuine relationships and positive experiences that have really built my reputation.
My 5-star Google reviews and word-of-mouth recommendations show how much people value the calm and connection they get from my sessions. I’ve always made sure that Century Wellness Studio is a safe and welcoming space where everyone feels comfortable. Offering unique sound healing experiences, like my “Auditory Alchemy” sound baths, has also helped me stand out in the wellness world.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been creating meaningful connections and fostering a sense of community. I focus on providing personalized experiences in every session, ensuring that clients feel seen, heard, and supported in their wellness journey. When people feel valued, they’re more likely to return and refer others. Building relationships with corporate clients has been important too. By offering tailored wellness programs, I enhance their employees’ well-being while spreading the word about my services.
The positive feedback and 5-star reviews I get really keep me motivated. When new clients see the difference my work has made for others, it encourages them to jump in and try it out. By building genuine connections, creating personalized experiences, and nurturing those relationships, I’ve been able to grow my clientele.
