Barcawil, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I first knew I wanted to pursue being a musician was when I felt the instant connection in creating music. I felt like I could be myself in the studio. I was creating something from scratch on my own. When I first learned how to produce music, it was the best way I could express my energy. Being able to make a song just by the way I feel is what I love the most. It gave me the opportunity to meet and connect with people that forever changed my life. I thank God for opening this door for me and leading me down this path.
Barcawil, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a producer/DJ from Colombia, I grew up watching my dad play multiple instruments and saw how dedicated he was perfecting his craft. It definitely influence the way I was raised and allowed me to gain my own interest in music. The older I got, I began to dedicate more of my time to learning how music was made. I started out mixing songs at my house till I felt confident enough to show my talents live in a night club. I began meeting people that had the same passion as me in which help me get to where I am today. I’m blessed to know that everything worked out how it was suppose to. All I want to do is keep perfecting my craft and be able to inspire millions of people one day. As I learn to produce music, it allowed new doors to open in my life. I grew up listening to reggeaton and hip hop so I use those type of sounds and elements when I produce house music. I want to add different sounds that one is not used to when listening to house. It allows me to try new things and take a risk.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My mission in my creative journey is to bring new sounds to house music. To be unique and create a new wave.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Being able to inspire the way someone feels by listening to my music is the most rewarding aspect in being an artist. Making someone feel good and giving out good energy is what I love the most.
