We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Barbara Guimaraes. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Barbara below.
Barbara, appreciate you joining us today. One of the things we most admire about small businesses is their ability to diverge from the corporate/industry standard. Is there something that you or your brand do that differs from the industry standard? We’d love to hear about it as well as any stories you might have that illustrate how or why this difference matters.
Most definitely. I look at each business opportunity as a numbers game. When you breakdown the process and structure your action plan step by step, suddenly everything is possible.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
My name is Barbara, I’m a 25 year-old entrepreneur & investor. Born in Brazil with hunger for conquering the world, I started my entrepreneurial journey at age of 9, when I’d sell home made bracelets to my friends at school. Fast forward to today, a lot has changed.
Currently owning 3 different online businesses, I have a huge passion for developing new ventures and making my own dreams my reality.
Between managing my sales agency, my talent management agency and my real estate business, I find some time to travel, hang out with friends and family & learn some new business skills.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Change is inevitable. I probably have failed at over 10 different business ventures before I have found success in one of them. Nowadays people don’t talk about failing the same way they talk about success – which is concerning, to say the least. If you’re going through a time that requires massive change, go for it! Great things always come from massive changes.
Any advice for managing a team?
I’d say: stay open and available. When the company thinks you’re too far from them communication-wise, this creates a barrier between the leader and its team, making space for unwanted distractions. Be direct, give feedback and make yourself available for anyone on the team and you’ll create a great atmosphere to work with.
