Banswomb, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.

Our song “Instagram” is meaningful to us. It holds an important message about the negative impact of social media on society, particularly the pressure to compete and the tendency to present a false image of one’s life. The lyrics encourage listeners to embrace their authentic selves and to be at peace with whatever stage of life they are in.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

We’re a young band based in the heart of Harlem, who bring fresh musical energy to the Tri-state area and beyond. We’re all driven by a deep passion for music and bring our own unique sounds and tastes to the table. We’re on a mission to captivate audiences with our innovative and soul-stirring music. Drawing inspiration from diverse genres and musical influences, we’re experimenting at all times, creating new frequencies that resonate with listeners on a profound level. What sets us apart from others is our chemistry. We enjoy not only playing and creating together, but being in each other’s presence. The environment we create with each other is honest and freeing, which is what helps us to produce the things we do.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The freedom of creation in itself is the highest reward.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

We started our Instagram without any real marketing plan or anything. We post our jam sessions, shows and any upcoming events for the most part. We meet new fans and other artists at these events and the cycle continues. Some advice would be to just do what you love and be true, and likeminded people with follow you on your journey and connect with you.
