We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Baleiba Hill. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Baleiba below.
Baleiba, appreciate you joining us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
My parents instilled being kind at a young age. My sisters and I were taught to treat others with kindness no matter the differences. My mom had babysitters for us from different cultures and me and my sisters didn’t see anything wrong as long as they were treating us kindly. This mindset has continued into my creative career and I still keep this at the fore front of my work.
Baleiba, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I started creating lifestyle content about two years ago. I was at a point in my life where I was craving a creative outlet and wanting community. I started sharing my inspiration for others that had the same interest as myself, that consisted of my passions fashion, beauty, wellness, and my day to day life. At the beginning of my journey it felt very foreign to show up consistently online, I’m typically a private person so letting my guard down a little was tough. Although that was a challenge I am most proud of staying consistent and allowing myself the space to do so.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creator is knowing I am inspiring others to live a life they have dreamed of. Also, creating a community based off of authenticity will always be a rewarding feeling.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
I think non creatives struggle with understand the idea of someone not limiting themselves to fit into a certain box. I’ve always felt multifaceted and never wanted to conform myself to fit in any box. I believe having an open mind about how others express themselves will keep inspiration alive.
