We recently connected with Balazs Titkos and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Balazs , thanks for joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I was always around the local art subculture; becoming inspired by skateboarding, art, fashion, and design. I began my career at an interior designer studio, where I learned the fundamentals and built up my skills as a designer and craftsman.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
After many years at the interior designer studio I moved to Amsterdam where I further honed my skills as a designer, and also learned the ins and outs of running a business. My combined experiences in design , production and business gave me the skills I needed to make my own studio a reality. Moving to the West Coast allowed me to be surrounded by the similar art scene that I had grown up in – one influenced heavily by skateboarding, music, and art. Designs draw inspiration across the genre – ranging from the retro sci-fi movies, military equipments, comic books, Nature – as seen in our contemporary pieces. My mission to bring the future to the here and now by injecting into the contemporary furniture scene.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
The goal is to make use of modern technologies in order to bring the designs out of our minds into reality but keeping ourselfs grounded in traditional design and production techniques. This ensures that human element is kept in our furniture.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Understanding our client’s individual needs so we would be able to crate a ‘win-win’ situation.
