We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Bakari Robinson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Bakari below.
Alright, Bakari thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
The Most meaningful project I’ve worked on are. My Franchise Series called: The Dark Entities. May of 2022 was The Dark Entities Volume I. 2023 The Dark Entities Volume II. Standard Edition. 2024 The Dark Entities Volume III. Lead Assassins. . I have produced Three High Technical CGI (Computer Generated Imagery): Under The Dark Entities Franchise. Now that those beautiful projects have been created, I have now completed my 4th Illustration Installment The Dark Entities Volume IV. Dimensions To Hell, which will be releasing May 9, 2025. The circumstances that have went into these projects were. Time management, Technology Budgeting, and most of all producing high level game design illustrated characters to make them come to life, in CGI. Each time I have finished a masterpiece, I always like to scale it to the next level. To see if what other changes I can do in my next masterpiece, to make my projects better each time. So basically what I am saying is, the more I produce big budget projects. The more I will continue to get better in my Game Design Career.
Bakari, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Bakari Ani Robinson®. I am a CGI Artist , Game Designer, Concept Artist & 3D Visual Designer. For me being a Digital Artist doesn’t just provide me with various skill-sets, but having the ability to create a piece of art relating to digital content, that will last for a lifetime impacting generations. As I continue to critique my craft, I want to share my gifts & talents with the Art World & The Technology Digital World in General, to enhance people’s expectations. When it comes to creating content, I brainstorm new creations and ideas to bring my ideas to life.
My main goal is to continue to make a name for myself, using CGI Technologies, such as (Autodsk, Maya, Zbrush, Unreal Engine Computer Program and more). Lastly I want to continue to pursue creating illustrations to publish more of my personal books. I have now been an Illustrator for 2 years. My first release was in May of 2022, which I self-published. The Illustrations in my books are my own personal designs that I created throughout my own art project portfolio. The Dark Entities Volume III. Lead Assassin’s,2024 makes my Third Official Illustration Book, I am so proud of the work I have completed to date. I have enjoyed the journey and I am looking forward to my audience enjoying my newest illustrated body.
Solutions that I come up with to solve for my clients, are to maintain better art images which are produced under me and under me only. Therefore most of my clients need Concept Art for either tv shows, movies or Video Games, in any genre in those categories. So I have the skill sets to provide Those concept Art Services, Since I am a Concept Artist myself.
What sets me apart from others in my industry are. Having Consistency, giving my clients or non clients my best work, knowing that I am the best at what I do as a CGI Artist.
As I continue my business Studio: Macrocosm Studios, I want the world to know that, I am here to leave a legacy with my with my artwork, and I am going to continue to use my gifts to be a better Producer each time I get once I create a new project.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me the best rewarding aspect of being an Artist, is building my own legacy, that someday I can leave my business to my kids. Or If I don’t have any kids in my future, I have left a huge impact on the World. I can’t take my art with me when I die. But you know what? my art will be here forever rather I am here to gone. That is what I call having power because it is mine and I own my artistry, and no one can take that away from me.
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
When I was first starting out my creative journey. I wish I had sponsorship and companies to invest in me. But it did not turn out that way at all. My mother my super hero, has invested in all of my Art Career, I remember in my Junior Year of High School. I told my Mom I wanted to be a CGI Artist. My Mother told me to shoot for the stars, take it to the moon. Also she told me to be the best Artist In my industry. I just had to tell you all that story because, My mom has been my resource and my only. But looking into the future, I hope to have other investments by companies or big time Entertainment Art companies, So I can do business with them, or they can do business with them.
