We were lucky to catch up with Bailey Belanger recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Bailey thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
The first time I knew that I could pursue my creativity as a business was back in 2017. I have always been creative since I was a child. I loved to draw, color, paint etc. It has always been something that has made me truly happy. I am going to be transparent as the artist and creator of Wire Weaved Uniques.
I started creating as an outlet to relieve stress. It then turned into people wanting my jewelry pieces, which sparked an idea. So then it all started. I started making lots of jewelry. I started teaching classes. I started promoting myself and I would promote other artists as well. Sometimes I can sell other art better than my own.
I found a passion for creating through all of this. I am self taught from the raw in my wire work. It took me 3 years to build my skill through lots of raw frustration yet infinite patience with myself. I was stubborn and refused to watch Youtube. Here I am in 2026. Making amazing jewelry, sharing what I have learned through all my years with others, and sharing passion with others.

Bailey, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
How did I get into this? Well that’s a very long story. It is always such a challenge to put an answer to this question, as it is not the best story. Though everyone has a story. My mom has supported me through a lot of it and is very business minded. Just want to say thank you mom!
I was in a really dark place with someone and felt that I had no way out. I had no control over anything and no means of money or happiness, because of this situation that I won’t go into too many details of. When I discovered the art of wire wrapping through a good old friend during that time. My life changed, and I met someone through all this who became my best friend. This person has supported me so much in this adventure of life and my creative talents. I found healing in the creativity and found it to be very therapeutic in so many unique and wonderful ways, and to be able to share it with others makes my heart happy to see them happy.
Now I offer and teach classes at the Sedona Bead Garden in Arizona. I have a website, A YouTube channel. I am currently in galleries, and have jewelry in multiple places on consignment. I do in person shows. I have come so far in the last 10 years in such a positive way and I have learned so much. I couldn’t be more grateful for the direction I am going in this life. That is what I am proud of. I am proud of the person I have become, and I am proud of being able to help others. I really enjoy seeing others glow when the creative side sparks during my classes.
My passion is handmade and art. Being able to live life by doing what you love. What do I mean by that? Handmade goes so deep. Handmade and creating can really bring someone out of a dark place and into the light. That is the beautiful thing. It also makes the world go round no matter the medium or style. It is a beautiful form of self expression as is writing. Truly it is. One thing I absolutely love is supporting another artist by collaboration. It gives them something and it gives me something. Then it gives you something to be happy about and admire. Art is ancient, wire wrapping is ancient. Creating is ancient. In some way we are all creatives whether we realize it or not. Creating keeps the mind going and that is important. Life gets so busy and wild, creating brings peace and uniqueness.
My mission is to keep going, keep creating and designing. To keep thinking in creative and out of the box ways. To keep growing into the best versions of myself and my creativity, along with helping others spark theirs. We are all unique.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
As far as society helping support artists. Think about it. Say I buy a polymer clay bead from someone who makes beads. (They are able to buy more supplies to make more). Whether it is painted clay, paper bead, glass, etc. I am supporting them by buying their hard work, and they are able to put food on their table. I take this bead and incorporate it into my wire wrap art featuring their passion, into my passion. Which helps me in the ways i can contribute in daily life. Whether it is earrings, a pendant, or an art piece to hang in the window. Supporting small really helps the world go round.
That artist buying the supplies to make that bead, for me to buy and use, to then sell to someone who wants to buy a gift or spoil someone they love. Makes hearts happy, and puts smiles on faces. Hopefully with a story and as an heirloom. Through all of these unique steps and actions. These artists can be shouted out. Social media is huge these days. It takes only one moment to make small video of an unboxing of a product that you purchased to get this artist known in the world.
Sharing with friends and family, by word of mouth, leaving reviews, is so important.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
The amazing supportive friends, customers, clients, fellow vendors, and family around me help me keep thriving in my passion. What drives me is the passion I have for creativity. I one day would love to be able to buy a house with the jewelry that I make. I want to be able to support my family. By supporting other artists who make supplies, they are able to support their dreams and visions as well. There is a huge domino effect when it comes to supporting handmade. There really is and I hope that more people see and realize this. Seeing creativity and passion in others is a beautiful thing. If we can all support each other in these little ways. It helps us all take care of one another in big ways. That drives me.
