We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Azia Mikayle a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Azia, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s jump right into how you came up with the idea?

My inspiration for my becoming a Influencer was one person! I always had the idea in the back of my mind ever since I was in middle school that I want to be well known/famous. I have started my Youtube channel over plenty of times because I was scared to fail, I was scared of not succeeding with what I love to do. I fell in love with content creating more after high school. I learned alot abbot cameras and just loved being in camera in general. I started off with TikTok in hopes to blow up quickly and attract people to my channel quickly. I came across this Youtuber Chloe Yazmean and she is way younger than me. She inspired me to take YouTube more serious and live out my passion to the fullness regardless of if I’m going to fail. She grew her channel with no social media and I want to follow because social media is just so toxic. Im just using my TikTok platform for a boost until I take off on Youtube. As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I am a 21 year old. I have a loving boyfriend that I care for so much snd very much thankful for because he pushes me to my full potential and want to see me succeed on my journey. We recently just got a dog together so now we have a small little family. I started taking Youtube and TikTok serious August of 2022. From then I have grown alot from the help alot of people who support me. I make realistic lifestyle content, self care content, apartment/home content, wig installs, storytimes, plus more. On my Tiktok you will find that I am a reviewer/influencer for many companies such as Shine Hair Wig, TEMU, etc. I love collaborating with other companies. I love what I do which is making content. Thankful for my bestfriend as well, Alexis, for supporting me the most, my siblings, and few other close friends that I see frequently supporting me. I am so thankful for all of the love and support that I get. I do this because this is my passion!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Consistency! Im still not the best at it but I am grasping it slowly but surely and consistency had been key for me and is key for all influencers.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

Showing my real life, just documenting my life for memories. I love being in front of the camera and I love editing! I love everything about being an influencer. It can be stressful at times but it is worth it in the end!
