I ’m Ayesna Regmi Pandey, a Registered Esthetician and proud co-owner of Elegant Brow and Spa, based in Utah. Before embarking on this journey, I worked as a full-time nurse, where I developed a deep appreciation for care and personal connection. Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

One of the most defining moments that tested my resilience came during the early days of starting Elegant Brow and Spa. While I was passionate about the beauty sector, stepping into uncharted territory brought its own challenges, from mastering new skills to navigating the complexities of running a business.

The toughest moment came shortly after we opened. We were faced with unexpected hurdles, including delays in acquiring equipment, navigating licensing requirements, and dealing with the financial pressure of launching a new venture. On top of that, balancing my esthetics training with setting up the business demanded relentless focus and energy. It was overwhelming at times, and there were moments when I questioned whether I had taken on too much.

What kept me going was my determination to succeed—not just for myself, but for my sisters, our shared dream, and the belief that we could make a meaningful impact in our community. I leaned on the resilience I developed during my nursing career, where long hours and high-pressure situations taught me how to stay calm, adapt, and persevere.

One particular instance stands out: our first major client event. We had worked tirelessly to prepare, but just days before, a supplier issue left us scrambling to source essential products. It felt like everything was falling apart. Instead of panicking, my sisters and I put our heads together, re-strategized, and reached out to local contacts. Through teamwork and sheer determination, we managed to pull it off—and the event was a resounding success.

That experience taught me that resilience isn’t just about enduring challenges; it’s about finding creative solutions and believing in your ability to overcome adversity. Today, every time I see a satisfied client leave our spa, I’m reminded that the journey, with all its highs and lows, was worth it. It’s a testament to the power of perseverance and the strength we find when we work together.
