We were lucky to catch up with Ayeisha Diaz recently and have shared our conversation below.

Ayeisha, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.

Natures Serenus Esthetics and parties has been the biggest risk I have taken. Quitting a job in which I was making good money to commit myself into growing my business, because I believed in its potential was scary but so worth it. A lot of the times we do not do things because we stay stuck in the mentality of “What if it does not work”. And following your gut is the best decision you can make specially if you have support. My mother, husband and kids have been very supportive through this journey. And if it was not for them, I would had not accomplished what I have so far.

Ayeisha, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My name is Ayeisha Diaz, I am from Bayamon Puerto Rico and I am the owner of Natures Serenus. I offer mobile spa services in the comfort of clients home, office, venue and more. We also work with air bnb’s, hotels, and we offer spa parties. Our services include but are not limited to: Facials, massages, manicures, Pedicures, body treatments, and yoni steaming. And our spa parties include but are not limited to: Coordination, decor, catering, entertainment, and arts and crafts.

Natures Serenus bloomed in my heart 2015 and became a business in 2020. I wanted to not only enhance woman’s beauty but I wanted to be an impact in their lives as well. I wanted Natures Serenus to be an open door to touch young woman lives and that is exactly what I am moving on today.

In every service and party I put my all to make each client feel special, unique, cared for and heard. Today, I have a staff of six amazing individuals that together we are able to move forward on that same vision . Zulema my paint and sip instructor, Teresa my cosmetologist, Joel my massage therapist, Jose my full specialist, Aisha my nail specialist and Genesis my skin care and lashes specialist.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

Being a small business owner with no capital, is one of the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, I’ve had losses, I’ve had to re-plan, and find my niche. I’ve had nights where I’ve cried and just wanted it quits. Some of the things that have kept me resilient have been: Meeting with God before anyone else, and remember the reason why I started. Natures Serenus was not only meant to care of the outer beauty of an Individual. It was to touch lives, replenish, spread a word of encouragement, be a listening ear, uplift and make a difference.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

“Everything has to get done” Sometimes we push ourselves into the mentality that things need to get done, and at times we feel frustrated if they are not. And I’ve learned that our list may be endless at times and that our Self Care need to be first priority. Juggling a business and everything that comes with it, being a mom, wife, and having another job while the business picks up is a lot to handle. And I had to learn the hard way to take care of myself.

If you are gone, who will take care of the endless list? Who will take care of the people you left behind because you where not able to manage time and take time for you?
