We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ayanah Hanaya. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ayanah below.
Ayanah, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s talk about social media – do you manage your own or do you have someone or a company that handles it for you? Why did you make the choice you did?
I love social media! I love being interactive and engaging on my main profile page. So for @Ayanahhanaya I do everything myself. But for all of my other accounts I actually outsource. My assistant is the best! Her name is Elise and she is just amazing! She uses tools like Later and Canva to keep my business IG accounts super clean, bubbly, and fun! My company EntrepreneuHerway has a whole team of Virtual Assistants waiting to help anyone who needs help managing their social media!
Ayanah, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hello! I’m Ayanah Hanaya! (Just my name backwards lol) I’m a Queen of all trades and Master of quite a few! I’m a Multifaceted Entrepreneur. I love working for myself and helping other women do the same.
I studied Business & Marketing, I’m a Master Cosmetologist, Certified Business Coach, (Well, life coach but I specifically deal with business. Life is hard lol) Founder of EntrepreneuHerWay LLc where we help women start, run, and grow their business. Owner of Pryceless Pieces, there we sell virgin hair, wigs, and all things beauty. We also offer a wholesale and resell program to help others make money! Mailed From The Heart, a shipping and packaging supply company for small business owners. The Blush Spot, an online women’s wellness boutique where we sell handmade soaps, oils, and a lot more. 3 Etsy Shops, owner of AH Beauty Studio, and AHIYB!
When I started working for myself in 2013 I had no idea what I was doing I just knew that NOT working for myself wasn’t an option. So, I failed a lot, learned a lot, and kept going until I succeeded! My goal is to in each area of business be the reason why you either look good, feel good, learn something, or make money! I’m not where I want to be yet, but every year I see that I’m at some point of my life that I prayed for.
I love helping women specifically because as a woman I understand how easy it is to put ourselves on low on the back burner and forget the way we used to exist and burn brightly in the front.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I honestly had to unlearn being nice. I’m genuinely a kind person but I realized that I spent most of my teens and 20’s being the “nice” girl. Not speaking my mind, not standing up for myself, not really doing things that I genuinely wanted to do because I was either worried about disappointing someone or worried my peace would be disruptive to others. Being nice and silencing my needs really screwed me up in life. Transitioning to allowing myself to be authentically kind while not disrespecting myself by going against my own boundaries has really helped me. My 30’s have been the best decade so far.
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
The top 2 ways I keep in touch with clients is social media and email marketing. I used to utilize text marketing but it got to be overwhelming. I love email marketing because I can reach the masses at once and I can see who opened what, what time they did it, and how long they viewed it. It gives me the most insight on what people like and what draws their attention! I think a multitude of things go into brand loyalty. The first would be honesty, do what you say you’re going to do and if you can’t give them a refund! Also, admit when you’re wrong. Being honest and being yourself go a long way for both online and brick and mortar businesses.
