Hi Avyana & Chloe , thanks for joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?

Success takes grit, innovation, self-discipline, a commitment to keep learning, determination, communication, taking a risk, consistency, transparency, and even failure just to name a few qualities that define success to us. Here at The Elite Nanny Agency, commonly referred to as TENA we believe that everyone has an opportunity to be successful in their own way. As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

The Elite Nanny Agency, LLC commonly referred to as TENA, is a nanny referral agency. Our mission is to match South Florida (Miami-Dade County, Broward County, and Palm Beach County) families with assistance for their children with local, qualified, responsible, CPR certified, and background-checked nannies. TENA takes on the responsibility of interviewing, screening, background checking, and finding the perfect nanny for each of our clients.

The founders Avyana and Chloe started TENA in April of 2021 because they knew they had a solution to an ongoing nanny staffing issue they noticed in South Florida. The problem was finding reliable nannies, nannies that were able to commit to 2+ years, and nannies that were enriching the children. The solution is vetting all of our nannies, putting them through a vigorous recruitment process, making sure each nanny is CPR and First Aid certified, credentialing, and background checking them for the safety of our clients.

Our nannies are more than just childcare providers but are individuals that seek to foster your child’s development. A TENA nanny strives to be your child(ren)s role model and to empower them to reach their full potential in each and every encounter with them. Our nannies are truly elite nannies!

Chloe and Avyana pride themselves in only recruiting nannies they would hire for their own families. They believe a nanny must be loving, structured, well-rounded, responsible, transparent, adaptable, innovative, and obtain so many more qualities to be an “Elite Nanny”.

Chloe aka “The Miami Nanny” is an elite nanny with over 10 years of childcare experience as well as a master of Social Work student at Florida Atlantic University. Avyana is a well-known Boca Raton babysitter/nanny and has been servicing the South Florida area since 2014. Avyana recently received her Master of Business Administration from Lynn University. Chloe and Avyana saw the high demand for reliable sitters in South Florida, but unfortunately, could not be with so many families at once, so they decided to duplicate their services.

The Elite Nanny Agency only offers full-time nanny placements of 35 hours or more per week. The Elite Nanny Agency does not offer babysitting, temporary, live-in, or part-time placements. Please note there is a $500 non-refundable placement fee. Nanny placements start at $7,000.

We’d love to hear about you met your business partner.

The short answer is via an Instagram DM. Chloe just moved to Miami from Kansas to be with her husband that was working at a big 4 accounting company in Miami. Chloe and her husband had a business Instagram where they would sell customized gifts. Chloe was working on growing her business’s Instagram one night when she realized she was actually following all these people from her personal Instagram account. Avyana just so happened to be one of the people she accidentally followed. The two had a lot in common and would often comment on each other’s posts until one day Chloe asked Avyana if she would like to grab brunch in Fort Lauderdale. Chloe and Avyana, along with 2 of Avyana’s friends met at Louie Bossi for brunch and the rest was history.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

Chloe and Avyana realized it is better to be a master of one trade as opposed to a jack of all trades. When TENA was first started we offered full-time nanny, babysitting, live-in, part-time, and even hotel services for child care. Offering all these services and being a full-service childcare placement organization was so important to us at the start of our journey. We soon realized that we were getting burnt out and were not able to keep up with the demand that comes with offering all of these services. We pivoted to only focusing on full-time nanny placements and perfecting our craft.
