Avi, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
The most meaningful projects I’ve worked on as a visual artist are those that allow me to merge my passion for murals and body painting with my love for nature and human connection. While I enjoy creating large scale murals that transform environments and showcase my vision, it’s the body painting projects that truly stand out to me. When I paint people to camouflage into nature, it allows me to connect with the destination and allow be to get to know the people who becoming a human canvas, learning their stories, and forming meaningful bonds. These projects remind me that art is not just about creating something visually stunning, but also about building connections and leaving a lasting impact on the people and places involved.
Avi, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Avi Ram, known as the “Airbrush Hero,”
A world renowned visual artist for his vibrant murals and body painting.
Avi had a creative mine all his live . At age of 18 he start learning how to use Airbrush, creating airbrush design on apparel, canvases and murals.
Avi’s body painting gained national attention after his success on reality TV show “Skin Wars,” season 2 and “fresh paint” (streaming on hulu) where he showcased his talent and creativity. He’s since worked with celebrities like Cardi B, Tyra banks and Arnold Schwarzenegger, expanding his reach in the body painting world wide .
Today Avi filming his own show called “Hidden in Plain Sight” where he is travels the world creating mindblowing art blending people into destination and nature.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
My art is my passion and being able to share my creations with the world and inspire others, especially young artists, as the most rewarding aspect of my journey.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I see challenges as adventures. especially in body painting camouflage! I love the challenge of matching colors, dealing with changing light, and painting a person to blend in with nature. It’s exciting to connect with the natural world and the people I paint.
It’s a journey that inspires me to be creative and innovative.
