Hi Avery, thanks for joining us today. Can you tell us the backstory behind how you came up with the idea?

I’ve been a photographer for almost 10 years now, but it wasn’t until recently that I really felt like I found myself in what I was doing! For years, I would just shoot whatever anyone wanted, so I could never really pinpoint what it was that I WANTED to shoot. That is until this past year. I had my first baby, and let me tell you, she has changed my world! I LOVE being a mom! It is so special, and they grow up so stinkin’ fast. I want to capture the beauty of motherhood for all mommas so they can hold onto those tiny moments forever!

Listen up, folks, because I’ve got a story that’s gonna make you believe in the twists and turns of fate! Picture this: I’ve been dabbling in photography as a side gig for years. I’d go through phases of being totally dedicated and on fire, only to find myself discouraged and on the verge of throwing in the towel more often than not. It was a rollercoaster ride of emotions, let me tell you!

But then, this past winter, something magical happened—I became a mother for the first time. Ah, the joy and wonder of it all! Maternity leave rolled around, and although the thought of leaving my precious bundle of joy tore at my heartstrings, I reluctantly planned to return to my 9-5 grind. Oh, the pain!

I tried my darndest to convince my hubby that we could survive on one income if we tightened our belts and made some sacrifices. But guess what? He wasn’t having it. And just when I thought my dreams of being a stay at home momma were slipping away, the universe stepped in with a plot twist.

Now, I won’t lie—it was a stressful time. Money was tight, and I had to make a tough decision. And that’s when it hit me like a ton of bricks—I was gonna give my photography business everything I had! With a fire in my belly and a tight budget, I decided to go all-in, chasing my passion like never before.

So here I am, diving headfirst into the wild world of full-time photography. It’s a juggling act, let me tell ya—diapers, late nights, and capturing those priceless moments. It ain’t always easy, but the joy and fulfillment I get from pursuing my passion while being there for my little munchkin? It’s priceless, my friends.
