We were lucky to catch up with Autumn Bailey-Ford recently and have shared our conversation below.
Autumn, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Alright – so having the idea is one thing, but going from idea to execution is where countless people drop the ball. Can you talk to us about your journey from idea to execution?
I wasn’t born into the business, nor did my career jump off overnight. Where I’m from, I didn’t have many examples of how to become a producer or the knowledge to know what all the role entails. However, I knew early on that I wanted to be a producer. Still, I would watch movies as a child, and I would think to myself, I wanted to do that, and to be clear, I was never intrigued by being an actress; however, I had a knowing that I wanted to be the one who puts everything together. So, I started going to libraries and researching the art of filmmaking. Eventually, I decided to go to Shawn University, an HBCU, to major in Mass Communication with a concentration in Film & Television. Once I graduated, I started as an intern and worked as an associate producer for industry greats over the years. I learned from this experience and eventually sought out scripts from writers to produce. Although I come from humble beginnings, I have now completed over 30 films with numerous project in development in the film and television sector.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I believe that being transparent, honest and delivering on my word has build my reputation in this industry. Through hard work, faith, dedication and doing good business, I have thrived in this industry and have been able to sustain my company and grow it to where it is today.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new client that I have experienced has been networking by word of mouth, and recommendations from former clients. Providing good work brings more opportunities your way so I pride myself in producing quality productions for my independent and studio clients.
