So, my real estate journey kicked off not long after my little one came into the world. Picture this: I was hopping from one job to another, desperately trying to figure out how to juggle life as a mom of two. Then, in 2019, the universe gave me a little nudge in the form of a layoff. That was my cue – no more traditional 9-to-5 for me. I needed something that could grow with me, offering both unlimited earning potential and the freedom to call the shots on my work hours. Enter real estate. It just clicked!

As I got deeper into it, what started as a career quickly became a full-blown passion. I became a cheerleader for homeownership, shouting from the rooftops that your home is basically your ultimate piggy bank.

Teaming up with investors, I realized I wanted to show folks that investing isn’t this super pricey, exclusive club. It could be as simple as renting a spare room to a friend or making a move and renting out your old place.

And guess what? I caught the investing bug too! I’ve got a single-family home doing its thing as a full-time Airbnb and a duplex keeping me on my toes.

But here’s the real magic – I’m on a mission to help people see that in a world where everything’s getting pricier, real estate is the golden ticket. It’s not just a career or an investment. It’s a tool, a game-changer. The more people realize they can create their own opportunities and level up their lives, the better.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

When I kicked off my real estate journey and wrapped up my licensing classes, we were knee-deep in a global pandemic. I had shifted from yearning for more time with my little ones to practically having them as my office mates 24/7. Quite the adjustment, let me tell you! Building a new business seemed like an uphill battle with barely any personal time. It took months after getting my license before I officially dipped my toes into the real estate world. But come the new year, I was on a mission to contribute financially to my household.

I decided to switch gears, sent my kids back to school for the fourth quarter, and dove into the world of cold calls, armed with a list of expired listings I’d purchased. I was dialing hundreds of numbers each week – not the most glamorous task, but it had to be done! The grind paid off when I snagged my first listing, a property along the Atlanta Beltline that we sold for a whopping $760K. Talk about a win! From that point on, the world took notice of my hustle, and business started finding its way to me. I ended up selling 10 homes!
