We recently connected with Austin and Victoria Senger and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Austin and Victoria thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with education – we’d love to hear your thoughts about how we can better prepare students for a more fulfilling life and career.
The education system at least when we were in high school almost mentioned nothing about entrepreneurship. It solely pushed this idea that everyone knows what career path they want to take, should go to college to get a degree, and then land some corporate 9-5 job and call it a happy life. Being taught how to venture into what we truly love doing while making a living would have been life changing!
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Austin is a commercial actor and recently starred in the chiefs and snickers commercial with Andy Reid. For him to get involved in acting he packed his bags and moved to Los Angeles and took acting classes. He then became a union member with Sag aftra and got an agent to represent him. He has been in various roles over the years! Victoria bought a dslr camera and took off running. Photography became one of those skills that I perfected as I went and as a hands on learner, I don’t think any course would have taught me what I know now being self taught! For both of us, we had to take non traditional paths and kind of figure things out and ask for help from fellow creatives in each of our industries.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Often times as entrepreneurs, your next “paycheck” per say isn’t guaranteed. It is in those moments you have to be resilient and run more ads and push yourself to have faith and power through the uncertainty!
Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
I would have to loved to be following likeminded individuals years earlier on various social media platforms to have their influence affect me positively!
