We were lucky to catch up with Austin Allshouse recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Austin, thanks for joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Our mission is to help people, regular, everyday Joe’s remember we need to tell ourselves good job! The old saying is attaboy or attagirl when a job was done satisfactory. Why can’t we realize that every day we are blessed to put our feet on the ground and our eyes can open is a remarkable thing and that no matter the strength it takes or doesn’t take to get through it we deserve that atta because we conquered it. We want to reminds people that we have been created to be legends and that through conquering everyday, big victories or small we deserve that atta!!
Then we got a call one day about how our brother inlaw committed suicide. This just escalated our mission and movement to push back even hard because the end game should never be suicide. We fight to lower the stats and elevate the awareness not just in suicide but all mental health and any thing that can bring us down from negativity and the constant beat down of darkness this world sends to us.
We want to create a brand to remind us with positivity that we are all part of the greater light. We can give each of us an atta. We can just send an attaboy or attagirl to someone we know and change their day. Remind them to keep going, keep showing up, and to remind them they aren’t alone.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
We are a small business. We created the brand to hopefully create a positive change and hopefully save a life. We offer apparel with the attaboy or attagirl printed on it with other sayings like positive over negative #attaboy or #attagirl to maybe reach someone in a dark place but doesn’t realize it. We try to give back through ambassador programs, sponsorship programs, and also donating to local charities. Our brand is ment to create a ripple effect to hopefully change a life or the world. We got into it with a simple clothing iron and moved to a heat press. We created some of our first shirts with a cricut machine and long ours of picking the pieces out and then pressing the shirts. With a 50-60 hour day in and day out job it takes dedication and the help of our family (my wife and our 4 young children) to get the products out in a reasonable time. We aren’t any different or better we feel than any other brand we just want ours to make a difference. We just want to remind you, you are already a legend and have epically conquered each and everyday. For that give yourself and someone you know an atta.
We offer an array of apparel however we enjoy making out hats the most.

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
Funny thing is we started it by taking 20 a week and slowly getting our business license and trademarks and our tradename. We then slowly were able to pick up shirts and vinyl, which we now use direct transfer films with ink, and then able to save and save to purchase our first hats and patches. We still take $20 and put it into the business. Anything. That the business makes is the businesses.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
So far it has been word of mouth, ambassadorships, instagram ads, and some rodeos that we can attend and set up a booth at.
