Alright, Aurica thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?

For me Success is about more than just achieving goals, it’s also about personal growth and development – a journey that requires taking risks and stepping out of your comfort zone.

To achieve success, you must be resilient and persistent. Success does not come easily or overnight, and setbacks and failures are a natural part of the process. However, with a growth mindset and the determination to keep going, you can overcome obstacles and reach your goals.

Belief and confidence are critical for success. You must trust yourself and your abilities and have the courage to face challenges and seize opportunities. It can be difficult, especially when unsure, but with practice and experience, you can gain confidence and a positive attitude towards personal and professional growth.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I’m Aurica, the boss lady behind AuraLove Photography. To be honest, photography just fell into my lap by chance. I never thought of myself as creative or having any interests, except for being a mom. My hubby got sick of me pestering him to upgrade to a phone with a decent camera so I could capture my kiddos’ milestones. So, he surprised me with a beginner DSLR, and I was so hyped that I spent days learning how to use it like a pro. I’m still figuring out how to perfect my skills to give my clients the best experience and stunning photos.

I offer a wide range of family sessions, including maternity, lifestyle newborn, children, and high school graduates.

My aim is to give my clients something that they can’t get from their phones. I want to tell their unique story in a creative and artistic way! I want them to be able to print the pictures and have everyone who walks into their home look at the wall art and say “WOW.” My goal is to capture the loving energy and emotions in my photos so that every time they look at those pictures, it feels like they are traveling back in time.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

There are many reasons why I love being a photographer. One of the things I enjoy most is the opportunity to meet new people and get to know them. It’s always exciting to help create new memories and capture special moments that will be treasured forever. When I’m going through the photos from a session, I always feel a rush of excitement when I come across those perfect shots that capture the essence of the moment. I take pride in adding my own creative touch to each photo, making them come to life in a way that is unique and personalized.
And perhaps the most rewarding part of being a photographer is when clients express their gratitude and appreciation for the work that I do. Knowing that my photos have brought joy and happiness to others is truly fulfilling and reminds me of why I do what I do.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?

I feel that I would not be where I am today if I hadn’t invested time in reading and listening to books or podcasts about managing life and business, how to keep going, and stay motivated. It’s so easy to get distracted and give up when things don’t go the way you expect them to.

A few books that I love and that have kept me on track with my purpose are

“The Power of One More” by Ed Mylett, and his podcast.

“The High-Performance Habits” by Brendon Burchard is also a great resource, as well as the “Growth Day App”.

“Free to Focus” by Michael Hyatt
