Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Augie Ryder. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
AUGIE , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
My most meaningful project is actually one that I’m finishing up currently. I’m working on my first EP “Full Moon”. It was 2 years in the making and I’ve been through so much during that time. The project is definitely a culmination of my best work and I am super excited to release it very soon!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’ve always loved music since I can remember. I grew up in a musical household. My family would always play music around the house especially during the holidays.
I started it out doing some modeling and acting initially around 14 years old. Around that time I also started doing community theatre and completely fell in love with performing and the rest is history!
Definitely, I believe my musical brain comes from a lot of the artists and shows I would listen to as a kid. I think that also there’s a drama to some of my music that for sure comes from those early years.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Hands down, when someone really connects with your music, performance, or writing on a personal level it really hits close and shows that other people feel the same way that I do.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
It’s a lot of hard work. A lot of work which most people don’t see. Countless hours of training and rehearsals. There’s a real sense of commitment and responsibility that comes when you decide to be an artist, and that goes for all art forms.
