We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Audra Milos. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Audra below.
Audra, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I knew between like the ages of 5 to 8 ish. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved being around art and entertainment. I knew that if I get to be involved in Hollywood, I’ll get to perform and also see performers at the same time. It’s a win-win, for me. I’ve always wanted to be part of it in any way at all. I’ve also always loved seeing other artists and creative’s work, and I love helping them gain support in this industry.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
When I was 17 I began modeling for local photographers, friend’s photography classes, art classes where they draw/sketch you, etc. At age 23, I began acting for film Festival short films, streaming networks and YouTube specials, and also background on television shows and films. I occasionally perform stand-up comedy at open-mic comedy clubs and bars. I’ve also worked behind the scenes as a production manager, helping with filming. I love doing entertainment consulting work; I get to tell folks how to get into the business, and it feels so helpful to do that for other young stars on the rise.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
I hate that artists are kind of behind this pay wall if they want to play the game. Free networking events where you don’t have to be rich to be in these industry circles would go a long way. Also, it costs NOTHING to like, comments, share, save, and repost someone art, news, or content. A lot of you follow actors and models but don’t ever support them FOR FREE by interacting with the art they share on their accounts, and that’s creepy and unhelpful. Why follow, then? Just to snoop?

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I wish I knew about all of the casting websites, the gig pages, the places where there’s info on where to go in your career, etc. My advice to my younger self would be to hire an entertainment consultant for advice, not online scammers or get advice from random friends who don’t even act.
