We were lucky to catch up with Audii B recently and have shared our conversation below.
Audii , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
In the bustling world of hip-hop, where beats and rhymes collide, I found my calling as a manager, guiding a dynamic group by the name of The Bash Brothers who talents are soaring to new heights. But my journey didn’t stop there; I embraced the digital stage as a social media influencer, using my voice to inspire and uplift. Now, as I turn the pages of my life, I venture into the realm of authorship, sharing stories that resonate with the rhythm of our collective experiences. Through music, social media, and the written word, I strive to empower, entertain, and connect, weaving a tapestry that reflects the vibrant spirit of our evolving culture.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Thank you for interviewing me. I’m Audii, from Detroit, MI. I’m excited to share that I am the author of “Empowered & Unapologetic – A Black Girl’s Affirmation Journal,” available on Amazon. I have also been managing The Bash Brothers, a talented duo from Atlanta, GA. Together, we’ve achieved success through tour performances and individual journeys in the music industry. Our partnership has formed a strong bond, and I’m dedicated to our shared goal of success.
I take immense pride in my roles as a social media influencer, music manager, and new author. As a social media influencer, I have the opportunity to connect with a diverse audience and positively impact their lives. It’s fulfilling to see the impact of my content and the relationships I’ve built within the industry.
Being a music manager brings me great joy as I witness the growth and success of the artists I work with. Guiding them on their journey, watching them perform on tour, and establishing their individual paths is incredibly rewarding. The familial bond we’ve formed is a testament to our shared dedication and passion for achieving greatness in the music industry.
As a new author, I am proud to have created “Empowered & Unapologetic – A Black Girl’s Affirmation Journal.” This book allows me to inspire and empower readers, helping them embrace their identities and find strength in their own journeys. Knowing that my words can make a positive impact on someone’s life fills me with a sense of fulfillment and pride.
Overall, being a social media influencer, music manager, and author allows me to express my creativity, make a difference, and leave a lasting impact on those who engage with my work. I am proud to embrace these roles and continue to pursue success in each of them.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
In the face of obstacles and doubts, I persevered as a hip-hop manager, social media influencer, and new author. Rejections and setbacks only fueled my determination to forge my own path. I embraced challenges, adapted my strategies, and transformed setbacks into opportunities. My journey exemplifies resilience, a testament to the unwavering belief in my dreams and the strength to rise above adversity.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One important lesson for I had to unlearn as a young black woman entrepreneur is the belief that your success is solely determined by external factors beyond your control. This mindset often stems from societal barriers and systemic inequalities that can make it challenging for marginalized individuals to achieve their goals.
The backstory as a young black woman entrepreneur involves overcoming societal expectations and biases. You may have grown up in an environment where opportunities and resources were limited, making it difficult to pursue your entrepreneurial ambitions. However, despite these challenges, you refused to let external circumstances define your potential.
I recognize that while systemic barriers exist, they don’t have to be insurmountable. Instead of dwelling on what you couldn’t control, you shifted your focus to what you could: your skills, determination, and resourcefulness. You sought out mentors, built a strong support network, and educated yourself on successful business strategies.
Through perseverance, I started your own business and encountered obstacles along the way. However, each setback became an opportunity for growth and learning. You discovered the power of resilience, adaptability, and creative problem-solving. I realized that my success was not limited by external factors, but rather by my own mindset and actions.
By unlearning the belief that success is solely determined by external factors, I embraced a new mindset: the understanding that your potential knows no bounds. This empowered me to forge my own path, break through societal expectations, and become a role model for other aspiring black women entrepreneurs.
Remember, your journey as an entrepreneur or whatever your goal maybe is not defined by limitations, but rather by the strength and determination you bring to it.
