Aubrey, appreciate you joining us today. Being a business owner can be really hard sometimes. It’s rewarding, but most business owners we’ve spoken sometimes think about what it would have been like to have had a regular job instead. Have you ever wondered that yourself? Maybe you can talk to us about a time when you felt this way?
A business owner has been the most amazing thing that I have took on in life. I wouldn’t trade my business for anything. I have built this name and I love what I do. I’m hairstylist who works with natural hair, weaves and more. I also sell hair products, hair growth oil, and eyelashes as well. I’ve been a full time business owner going on two years now and I haven’t looked back at a job since. I have encountered slow days but I’ve found ways to promote, work on social media branding on my slow days. I also make money in my sleep because clients book sun up to sun down. It’s an amazing feeling and I’m very grateful.
Aubrey, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a Cosmetologist located in the Florida area Jacksonville, Florida. I was born in Texas and raised in Camden County, Ga. I work full time for my very own brand Blush And Bundles. I quit my job during covid and took hair very serious after going to cosmetology school. I created and came up with my name for my business. I want to expand and start taking clients for makeup but as for now I work with natural hair care, extensions, and selling hair care products. How did you build your audience on social media?
Honestly I stayed consistent on posting on all social media platforms that I felt would reflect my business. I posted in different time frames about three times a day on social media. I’m still trying to grow my business and sometimes I advertise different promotions that will draw new clients in.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I have learned to stay consistent with posting on social media. Posting daily is very important when it comes to promoting your business and advertising your work on social media. Post until your work is showing on every other scroll.
