We were lucky to catch up with Aubrey Linnea recently and have shared our conversation below.
Aubrey , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Have you been able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen? Was it like that from day one? If not, what were some of the major steps and milestones and do you think you could have sped up the process somehow knowing what you know now?
I have so much to be thankful for as a full time companion and content creator. I left a full time job working as an esthetician and jumped right into being my own boss when I first started in the adult industry. Don’t get me wrong, I love skin care and it’s still something I practice on the side. But being able to make my own schedule, travel when I want, and take time off whenever I feel the need to is such a blessing.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m originally from Nevada and have lived in San Diego, CA for some time now and call it home. I love the water and being near it or on it and am adventurous by nature. I was introduced into the adult world by a friend who was also a companion at the time. It was definitely nice to have someone show me the ropes! At the very start of the pandemic I jumped into online content creating as well. During that rough time for all of us, it was such a fun way to stay connected and build new relationships with fans all over the world. It’s been fun and a pleasure (literally) creating pictures and videos my subscribers enjoy and can’t get enough of! And providing video dates has led to some of the most fun in person dates I’ve had! Clients are put at ease that I am indeed real, and it’s a great way to break the ice and have some fun together. I truly love what I do. Being an outgoing and caring person has really helped me build and keep great connections. I pride myself in providing an escape that makes you forget about whatever is going on in your life. I have always had an easy going and down to earth demeanor with a great sense of humor which I think sets me apart. And I know how to have fun in just about any situation which has led to many first dates turn into regular occasions. As well as quite a few vacations with clients. I am so proud of where I am today and how far I’ve come through experience and cultivating the type of relationships I find the most enriching in this industry. Which to me, is hard to achieve in a short period of time together. I am constantly brainstorming ways to improve, be different and come up with fresh content. So stay tuned!
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me it’s two things. One, the money obviously! Being a companion and content creator has really allowed me to live the type of life I want to. Being able to pay all my bills, invest my money, and live the lifestyle I love comfortably is amazing! Plus I love spoiling my family and loved ones. And two, it’s so rewarding helping someone explore their desires, and providing an escape from their every day lives. I’ve built some amazing relationships with my regulars and love creating new ones. A good memory of a fun time is always worth it!
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Of course. As in any job, it’s not always easy and it’s a lot of hard work! I’ve learned this over the years. Back when I was a newer companion, and had a much looser verification system in place. I unfortunately encountered a few unsavory clients. Their actions could have easily scared me away from this industry, but instead it made me stronger and smarter. I learned from my mistakes. I think for anyone just getting started in the adult industry, you learn from your mistakes and how to be better. Never give up!
