We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Attica Lundy a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Attica, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Attica Lundy PResents is a company I created to present the world my talents and the talents of those I connect with. It started with helping others gain exposure using my Public Relations skills and resources and continues to evolve. As someone who struggles with the challenges of having Multiple Sclerosis and mental disability, I find it very meaningful to continue to present opportunities to others worldwide. Attica Lundy PResents On The Rise Magazine by far has been my biggest accomplishment as it’s shown longevity in it’s 17 years of existence.

Attica, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am Attica Lundy. I have been a writer since childhood and was first published at the age of fourteen years old. From there I have published novels and used my writing skills as a publicist. In 2004 I was diagnosed with some disabilities including mental issues and multiple sclerosis. These diagnoses became the driving force to turn up the volume on things I wanted to accomplish while I was of sound body and mind. In 2008 I created Attica Lundy PResents On The Rise Magazine, an online blog that I could use to provide PR services to others on a more global capacity. In 2010 my efforts began to pay off as I was listed as one of the top 100 publicists in the world. Since then I have presented radio exposure and even travel opportunities . Attica Lundy PResents will continue to strive and bring opportunities of exposure to communities everywhere.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Being a publicist in a strong city like Atlanta, Georgia I gained a good and powerful reputation by being in the Atlanta scene in person. I attended events regularly and became a recognized name and face. By accompanying my clients to meetings, openings, ceremonies, performances, etc I proved to be an accomplished figure in the world of public relations.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
In 2004 I was faced with both the scariest and resilient moments of my life. I had a few exhausting weeks working with a client and began to notice fatigue and dropping items out of my right hand . I drove on a busy highway to my client when suddenly my entire right side of my body went paralyzed . In that moment I focused on using my left side to continue my drive to work so that I could get medical attention. Very scary but it showed my resilience to keep on going no matter what. Later that day I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
