We were lucky to catch up with Atoy Harris recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Atoy thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I was around 15when I started getting into music my journey began joining my junior high school band.

Atoy, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Atoy Harris, professionally known as DJRedlite, a DJ, music producer, educator, entrepreneur, and AI specialist based in San Diego, California. I’ve been DJing for over 10 years, performing at festivals, clubs, private events, and collaborating with musical groups like Brothers Burns. Beyond DJing, I’m deeply involved in music production, digital art, and AI integration, bringing innovation to creative industries.
My journey into music and entrepreneurship started with a passion for sound, technology, and education. Over the years, I’ve refined my craft, not just as a performer but as an educator—teaching music, beat production, AI-driven creativity, and business strategies to students and aspiring artists.
What I Do: Services & Creative Works
I provide a variety of music, education, and business solutions that empower individuals, artists, and entrepreneurs to grow in their craft. These include:
✅ DJ & Music Services – Live DJ performances, music production, and event entertainment.
✅ Education & Workshops – Teaching high school students and youth about entrepreneurship, AI integration in music, digital art, and beat production (e.g., BandLab courses for middle school students).
✅ AI & Digital Art – Helping artists and entrepreneurs utilize AI for creative and business growth, including AI-powered music production and digital design.
✅ Content Creation & Marketing – Guiding creatives in social media strategy, branding, and digital content production to elevate their careers.
✅ Merch & Brand Expansion – Beyond music, I’m also working on expanding my brand with custom merch and even a cookbook for artists and people on the go.
Problems I Solve & What Sets Me Apart
In today’s fast-changing landscape, many creatives struggle with marketing, monetization, and integrating technology into their work. I bridge that gap by teaching artists how to use AI, digital tools, and entrepreneurial skills to thrive in the modern music and art industries.
What sets me apart is my ability to blend experience, education, and innovation—bringing together:
• Hands-on industry knowledge from DJing and producing for over a decade.
• A passion for teaching and mentoring young creatives, including working with nonprofits and detention centers like YTC and East Mesa Youth Detention Centers to help at-risk youth through music education.
• A future-forward mindset, using AI to empower independent artists and streamline creative workflows.
My Greatest Achievements
I’m proud of many things in my career, but some of my most rewarding experiences include:
• Performing at major events like the Adams Avenue Street Fair and Stardust at the Fleet Science Center.
• Hosting masterclasses and workshops at Studio West in San Diego to educate upcoming artists.
• Working with high school students at Hoover and Crawford High Schools to teach them entrepreneurship skills.
• Mentoring youth in music production and recording sessions to inspire the next generation.
What I Want People to Know About My Work
At the core of everything I do is a commitment to empowering people through knowledge, creativity, and technology. Whether it’s through music, AI, entrepreneurship, or digital art, my mission is to help others unlock their full potential and thrive in a competitive industry.
I believe in sharing knowledge, keeping it real, and pushing forward no matter what challenges arise. If you’re an artist, entrepreneur, or just someone looking to level up your skills, I’d love to connect, collaborate, and help you grow.
Let’s make something great together!
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
