We recently connected with Ataul Bhuiyan and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Ataul thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
Back when I when I was a 13 years old starting to learn how to make beats, they were all over the place. Because I was still in the learning phase my beats would annoy my parents and my parents would say in bangla ” He’s always just making a bunch of noise”. In bangla AVAZ means noise. So when it came down to making a company name the first thing that came to me is AVAZ STUDIOS. A great name to take my Bangladeshi Culture and American culture and put them together.
Ataul, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Getting into the industry was no easy task it took a lot of patience dedication ,time and effort ,countless nights of no sleep and networking, I originally got into the industry as an artist performing at local venues and establishing relationships with artists in New York. The one thing they would always ask me is “Who Mixed and Mastered Your Music”? I would respond, “Well I Mixed and Mastered all My Music”. They were flabbergasted, usually followed by them asking me to Mix and Master their Music allowed me to work with a lot of artists and make good profits. Eventually with the amount of Clients I was getting I decided to start my own commercial Studio, I opened my first studio in New York at age 19. Years later with the success from that Business I was able to move my Business to Florida where the Sun is shining and the days are smiling.
With the Profits from the music Industry I was able to obtain real estate and grow my company into a larger facility.
It went from me running the show to me having a great staff of engineers and videographers that truly make the company now. the staff over at Avaz Studio are not only dedicated to giving our clients the best sound in the industry but more or less truly love what the do and inspire those around them.
In our Recording Division we have my protege TC (Tyriq Singh) , who manages the recording side of things and is one of the Head engineers at our Studio he started as with our company as a customer but became closely involved with helping us grow and expand in Florida, His ability to read frequencies is astonishing. The way he pays attention to detail, you can tell when he is in a Session he really cares about the music he creates and puts out. He is great at tuning in with the Artist and making their sound come to life.
We have 2k9ine who is an Jr Engineer here. He started at our from company as a student from our Learning course, after a few months with passion behind the Console he Graduated and officially joined as an Engineer. Now he is a mixing genus. His creative skills make him a key part of our company.
Over in our Visual Department we have JayVizz who has the most amazing ability to capture the moment and life with the camera. His photos and video’s speak for it self. Not only does he manage the Visual Department he also manage’s the Social Media department. He is relentless when it comes to put in the effort. He inspires the whole team to work harder and pursue greatness.
The team at AVAZ STUDIOS is what makes the company who it is today. Everyone plays a key roll in making the company successful. We are here to provide a full package, make it easier to get your music and get your visuals all in one location.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I say to get on every platform posible. I have a wide range of fans and they’re all different. Having multiple platforms will help you expand your content to a broader audience and potentially connect you with new evolving consumers.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Honestly is key when it comes down to our industry. We are more concerned with who’s hot and what’s the next big wave that most people will finesse their way into a situation and not exactly know how to successfully overcome obstacles thrown at them. Being honest let’s you grow rather then becoming successful for a short term. My team and I take the opposite approach when talking business because we believe in doing things right rather then having to comeback and redo projects . Our effort is time and time is money. That being said Honesty goes along way.
