We recently connected with Aso Breezey and have shared our conversation below.
Aso, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you tell us about a time that your work has been misunderstood? Why do you think it happened and did any interesting insights emerge from the experience?
In my opinion I feel like the city let me down and turned me into a villain. I came out rapping about 2 years ago and since then I still haven’t felt any support. It’s like i’m black listed. I tried supporting other artist in and out of the city. I also tried connecting with producers, engineers an etc. but its like for some reason they ain’t choosing to back me up. I know for a fact i’m better than 80% of these artists out here. At the end of the day this is not me complaining. This is me owning up to it. I will become this villain until I get too where I need to be.
Aso, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
This all started off due to my late uncle (T.L.C) passing. It was his dream to become a music artist but his life was cut short before he could accomplish anything so I took it upon myself to accomplish his dreams and goals. I feel like so far I went beyond what he could have imagined we could accomplish.
I feel I’m different in some way. My style is kinda of old school mixed with this new generation. My flow is unique with a passion for an aggression tone and all kinds of metaphors, punchlines, and bars after bars.
In all honesty i’m just proud of the fact I accomplished mines and my uncle dreams and i’m still out here pushing out more accomplishments that I didn’t think I could ever had accomplished. To the people, my fans or whoever reading this, I just want you too listen to my delivery and focus on my passion. Only then you’ll will know how much/bad I actually want this. My styles is always different. No song ever sound the same. That’s what I hope draws y’all attention.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Yes. My only goal is for me to show the world my craft and presents.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect for me is pretty much something simple. I like proving my doubters wrong. I am and I will be on the big stage one day. Y’all wont back me now but as soon as my name starts ringing, I’ll hear you shouting it around.
