We recently connected with Asia Jones and have shared our conversation below.
Asia, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
I hope my legacy will be that I was able to change people’s lives by making them see how important fashion can be. There is power in self-image and how we are perceived to others in the world. I want to be a positive force within the industry and teach others how to empower themselves and show up authentically.

Asia, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Asia Jones and I am a personal style coach. I have been interested in fashion for as long as I can remember. However, I didn’t start off with wanting to style people . As a child my dream was to go to school and become a fashion designer. I loved the idea of making my own clothes and I would draw my own sketches. I think I still have those sketches somewhere around. I found out about personal styling back in 2017 and joined an online school where I got certified to do just that. I loved the idea that I could combine my love of fashion with helping others. That’s how Asia Jones Styles came to be. I wanted to help women expand their confidence and show up as their authentic selves through personal style.
Growing up I didn’t always have the best confidence. I was a petite 4’11 girl. I got picked on quite a bit and I felt not many people ever took me seriously. I started to use fashion at a young age to help me feel more confident and change the way I viewed myself. Now I’m doing that for other women like me. The ones who feel unseen or need help finding who they are truly meant to be. I help my clients organize and set up their closets so that they can get the best out of their wardrobes. I also help my clients discover the benefits of what a unique sense of personal style can do for them.
I am very passionate about what I do. The feeling I get when a client is happy and gains that one thing that maybe has been missing is like no other. When we look good we also feel good. I want my clients to instantly light up the room because they have so much confidence. A person’s style runs deep and it’s about doing the inner work to bring that to the surface.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I always try to follow up with my clients on a regular basis through email or a phone call. I make it a habit to build a strong relationship with my clients. During the process of us working together, I have to get very deep and personal if I’m going to provide them the best service. At the end of the day I want my clients to feel like I’m a friend they can keep coming back to.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I can’t think of one particular story, but I will tell you I’ve had to bounce back a lot from people telling me that what I do isn’t a thing. I’ve had people tell me that I couldn’t possibly do this successfully. It can take a toll on your emotions when people can’t see the vision behind what you want to do. I’ve gone back to feeling like that little girl that wasn’t taken seriously many times. I continue to push forward because I feel like this is bigger than me. There is so much in life that I want to accomplish so I have to teach myself to move with thick skin. If I can prove how great I am to myself, the rest of the world will fall into place.
