We were lucky to catch up with Asia Jones recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Asia thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
One of the most meaningful projects that I’ve ever worked on was during the heart of the pandemic. I was tasked with producing a 3-day photoshoot for a very important client in September of 2020 with the expectation that the project would be fully launched by November. There were several long, brutal hours put into making the project a success before and after the September photoshoot deadline. I had to virtually assemble a team of almost 30 photographers, videographers, models, directors, and more. I also virtually scouted the locations and was able to land the Brooklyn Museum as our main location. Successfully producing a large-scale photo/video shoot during this time was a challenge, yet extremely rewarding in the end. The team worked together beautifully and everyone remained safe as we traveled and shot in NYC for the week. The end result was a beautiful luxury fashion project and the client was very happy. Being able to essentially ‘pull this off’ gave me the confidence that I can continue to excel in my craft and succeed when faced with any type of challenge, even a global pandemic.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a fashion stylist, producer, and correspondent. After several years of personal styling and pursuing a career in fashion in Chicago and NYC, I officially launched Styled by Jones – a creative production agency and lifestyle brand.
My areas of expertise include editorial and personal styling, image consulting, and fashion production. When I am not behind the scenes on set, I can be found creating content for social media and brand collaborations.
I am also an expert fashion correspondent and have reported live on television shows such as Windy City Live, and WCIU – The U. I love working with clients to help them to discover their personal style, enhance their wardrobe, and ultimately become more confident. As an editorial stylist and creative director, my main objective is to bring my client’s vision to life and produce industry breaking projects.
I am currently taking my brand to the next level by continuing to grow, create and report in the fashion, travel and wellness space.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
The biggest goal driving my creative journey is ultimately being able to create the life of my dreams. Having worked in a corporate setting has allowed me to experience both ends of the spectrum. Although my roles were considered to be creative, previous companies I’ve worked for have been very traditional and limiting. Being able to create my own rules and having a solid, moral foundation for my business has been a game changer for my mental health and overall wellbeing. My creative journey has not at all been easy, and I’ve experienced many failures and challenges. I have faith that if I continue to trust in my purpose and allow myself to be led by my calling that I will ultimately accomplish everything I want and need in life and more. I desire to be a leading fashion industry expert and I will not stop until all of my goals are attained, and I am making an impact in the industry.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is being able to help transform my client’s lives and seeing editorial projects come to life. As a personal stylist, I love helping my clients to feel refreshed and inspired when they discover their personal style and learn how to seamlessly utilize all of the pieces in their wardrobe. As an editorial stylist and producer I can spend weeks and months prepping for one project. Being on-set for 10-12 hour work days, traveling for shoots and managing thousands of dollars worth of designer inventory adds to the thrill of it all. Receiving positive feedback and seeing all of the beautiful images/videos that are produced after a project launches brings me so much joy and motivation to continue on to the next one.
