We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ashunta Jolly a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Ashunta, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with a fun one – what’s something you believe that most people in your industry (or in general) disagree with?

I believe in this industry most people disagree with allowing the people around them to choose what personally works for them. I’ve noticed we get so excited about a specific path that has helped us tremendously and want to share this with the world. We thoroughly enjoy helping others transmute their pain into purpose but tend to forget that not everyone is going to be able to take the same route. We need to continue to inspire others, spread knowledge and wisdom but allow the community we are serving to think and choose the route that works best for them. The holistic healers are here to inspire YOU and ignite the power within YOU to heal yourself!

Ashunta, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

For those that don’t know me my name is (A-shawn-tee) Jolly and I’m the owner of Jolly Juice LLC. I got into this industry around the time I was battling a dark period in my life. As mentioned in a previous interview I was involved in a traumatic explosion while serving in the US Army. The explosion changed my life and I found myself attracted to unhealthy sources to cope. That path led me to a multitude of chronic health issues but also sparked my healing journey simultaneously. I noticed a shift within myself as I became more interested in the vegetarian lifestyle. It started with an all-natural juice cleanse and from there I couldn’t stop exploring this new world that opened up for me. As I transitioned through the different phases in my life, my diet began to shift as well. I truly felt I was at my optimum level of health after finding the alkaline lifestyle. From there, I cultivated Jolly Juice LLC with the main mission of teaching my community that true health starts in our kitchens. With a heavy focus on the drinks, foods, and herbs we consume. In this current chapter of my life, my diet mainly comes from the alkaline food guide, but I don’t mind switching it up as long as I maintain balance. At Jolly Juice LLC we currently provide individual cold pressed juices, detox kits and a wide selection of herbal supplements. We pour into our clients with knowledge they can use to empower themselves to use their own inner guidance and take healing into their own hands. I feel what sets us apart from others is the fact that we don’t attempt to force you into changing your lifestyle. We allow the clients that resonate with our mission to flow to us for our assistance. I’m truly proud to make a positive impact on the world because it gives me so much joy to help others in the way that I helped myself out a painful situation. I want potential clients to know that they are not alone and to be kind to yourself as you embark on your healing journey. We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

I built my audience about 5 months in advance before I even put a deposit down for my website. I was attending pop up shop every now and again. I marketed myself on TikTok and Instagram up until it was time for the big launch. I ended up with 32k followers on TikTok and 2,222 followers on Instagram the day my site was ready to accept orders. The excitement I had created during that time was absolutely insane! I had supporters from around the world waiting to purchase my products. Once the website went live, we sold out within a few days! It was overwhelming but very exciting to see my vision come to life! I would say to others just getting started to market yourself even if you don’t have everything together yet. It creates a community of clients that are already interested in what you have to offer. Also educate your audience with the knowledge you have in the industry that you’re in because that builds trust as well!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I feel like it’s the knowledge I acquired over the years! I would research holistic health every day after I got off work in the army. Then once I finished my military contract, I furthered my education and obtained a B.S. degree in Alternative Medicine. My knowledge in this field gained my client’s trust. They knew they were in good hands and the products they received were of high quality. People I never met started sending me emails, and dm’s telling me how they would literally take notes whenever they saw me post a certain topic for the day. Those moments fill me with so much gratitude because the work I’m doing is appreciated and I couldn’t ask for anything better!
