We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ashton Koontz a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashton, thanks for joining us today. Do you think folks should manage their own social media or hire a professional? What do you do?
I have always been behind all of my business plans and social media whether it is content based, making decisions, new launches etc. I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist because I enjoy every step of the process. I definitely would love to hire an assistant of some sort one day. I think other business owners should hire out for help because it can be a lot juggling everything on your own.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m Ashton Koontz from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I am a Published Author and Model who has a passion for photography and fashion. I launched my business MNMLPHOTOGRAPHY in 2023 and have loved every second of it. Being able to see my inspo and visions come to life is the most rewarding. I think my willingness to evolve and elevate with time has led me to success and has provided me with happy clients. I want people to come to me with any ideas and feel comfortable that I will provide the best outcome.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
I would say communication and perfecting your networking skills has been a huge pivotal factor in my success. No matter where you might be, connecting with others and getting to know what someone does for a living, or is passionate about is huge!
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
My best source for new clients is honestly face-to-face interaction. As I go about my day running errands, it is easy for me to pitch new ideas and get to know others. Building this connection allows for new clientele to flow in even if it is through mutuals.
