We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ashlie Arones. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ashlie below.

Ashlie, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?

I think to be successful, you need blind faith. Faith that you will accomplish what you set out to do. Faith that when you fail, you will get right back up. Faith that you are taking the right steps and making the best decisions. I believe if you have blind faith in yourself, in your abilities, and your dreams, you will be successful in all that it is you want to do.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My name is Ashlie Arones, I founded Sardinas Media with my Husband, William Sardinas in 2020. After we graduated college, we visualized what we’d like our future to look like. We both agreed there was nothing in the world we’d rather do than tell stories through our cameras. At Sardinas Media we provide photography and videography services for engagements, proposals, weddings, events, maternity, family shoots and more! When you book with Sardinas Media, you can expect an all around fun time, full of laughter and smiles. We want our clients to feel relaxed and comfortable.
We can’t contain how much we love what what we do, and how much we enjoy being behind a camera. We quite litterally bubble over with excitement and happiness every single session, and I think that comes across to our clients when we meet.

We’d love to hear about you met your business partner.

I met my cofounder/husband in 2014 during our junior year of high school. Fast forward to college, we both pursued film & photography studies. All of our art teachers would say that it was funny that the weakness in his art were my strengths, and vice versa. We quickly realized we worked stronger as a team, and from them on we constantly had input in each others work. We knew that after graduating college, it would be the best of both worlds to not only be able to story tell but work with each other, forever, and Sardinas Media was born.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

When starting a business your always told about the importance of remaining professional and maintaining a professional image. While we are extremely professional in the way we conduct and operate our business, we don’t actually carry ourselves with this super clean and tidy professional image. We found that just being ourselves, letting those walls down, and letting our clients get to know us, was way more successful. Our photos and videos come across and natural and carefree. We are unafraid to be ourselves, be silly, and make fun ourselves. We dance, we trip, we fall, we will lay on the floor for the best shot, we crack jokes, and we make create funny prompts for our clients.
When your hanging out with friends, there are no formalities. That’s the environment we wanted to create for our clients, that we are just hanging out and there happens to be a camera.
