Ashley , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
The last professional job that I had I was fired from and at that time I was doing eyelashes and I brought Michael blading part time. Once I received the news that I was fired I decided to try to make my part time personal business my full time business. And instead of looking for another job I rented a suite started decorating and crossed my fingers. Seven years, and two business locations later my clientele is consistently growing I’m happy I’m glad that I took the risk on myself.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Treat every client like it’s your only client perif you provide the best service that you can to each client people will refer to you. Word-of-mouth has always been my best form of advertisement let your work speak for itself and happy clients will also speak for you.
If you have multiple revenue streams in your business, would you mind opening up about what those streams are and how they fit together?
Outside of our standard services we do sell products. Our products are essentially add on to the services that we provide for example we have a Brown bomb that’s good after you’ve gotten a brow wax or a Brown lamination we have lash growth Sarah which is good when you’ve remove your lashes Or prior to getting them done to ensure that their healthy and full. Certain things work better for other establishments for example most female based establishments do not have vending machines it’s rather tacky, women pay so much for their services you have to give them free beverages and snacks. However at a Barbershop it is appropriate to have a vending machine. You just need to make sure what you are doing is appropriate for your business.
